The deal wetspam got at the London stadium. £2.5 mill a year only half that if they get relegated. The bbc football website has other details, it is unbelievable what they are not paying for. Whatever you think that was one hell of a deal Karen Brady negotiated.
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

The soul has been ripped out of that club, I actually feel sorry for thier real supporters.

I'm slightly worried about our new stand! I don't want anything to ruin the feel of our fantastic 'little' ground but I understand change has to happen!

Don't think it will happen to us. We are still going to be playing at CC. The rest of the stadium is going to stay the same. Supporters will go to the same pubs and eateries before the game. West Ham have lost all that.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The club is a symptom/microcosm of what's happened across the whole of East London in that respect. The communities that lived there when the likes of Bobby Moore placed for them have been almost entirely replaced by the yuppies and Bangladeshis that share the area now. If the establishment in this country ever revert to giving a to$$ about the white working class, what's happened there in recent decades will be recognised and shamed as forced displacement, but until then, it will only be talked about where in manifests itself in less controversial contexts, like West Ham moving to a big soulless football ground they hate.

True, the authorities need to give a t0$$ about those poor white working class Estonians, Croatians, Poles, Serbs, Latvians, Irish, Scots, Italians, Greeks, etc. etc. Sorry, were you referring to English whites?

I have no sympathy for the club................ Orient... yes.

West Ham's owners have sold the club down the river, and that's awful, but maybe they'll end up below Sheffield United and justice will be done.

They rank with Derby and Gillingham imo, so no sleepness nights for me.

Trying to be pc when really not required!
You know what Statto was saying but had to be the 'good guy'.
I agree with Statto and what has been lost in OUR country.
Oh dear get the pc police!

So do I.  People fall in love with football grounds and they mourn their destruction.  It's not a microcosm of something else, it's important in its own right.

Two very sharp observations about what things mean to people, observations diametrically opposed to those who know the price of everything and the value of nothing. The huge amounts of money that changed hands prior to the Olympics in 2012 meant absolutely nothing except easy profit for someone once it was in their bank.  There is a lot of corruption, deceit and greed in sport but that isn't exactly a surprise to anyone, is it?

I know what you mean but I have several friends who are spammers and they love the place.

Not certain how much that move had to do with any race, colour or creed, or the colour of skin, just the colour of money.

Forty million the Porn Stars supposedly received as their 9 pieces of silver for selling out the fans, the clubs history and the heart of the local community. I have no real sympathy with the club, but i feel for the true fans, the local community, and those still to be born there that will miss out on having a childhood of seeing their local team and the immense pride that instills for life.
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.
