What a pity

Brentford were good money for the draw, we were too negative in the first half. Only a magnificent Mitro goal gave us an opportunity to win it. I know we all hate Brentford, but in all honesty, a draw is a fair result and at times I feared we would lose.

21 games unbeaten. 16 wins 5 draws, and Cardiff can still capitulate. Who knows, that's the fun!

Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

Im just so gutted... playoffs it is

Thought the subs were really poor from slavisa. Took all our outlets off and allowed them to pin us back
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

Ordar

Was a very poor performance. Not sure if they are tired, but never got out of first gear. Brentford were miles better than us. Thought Mitro's goal was going to bail us out, but in the end we just invited too much pressure and got what we deserved

RaySmith

We should have seen that  game out, we lost our focus, thought we were there. - too much messing about  and time wasting?

Well done the lads for going 21 unbeaten anyway.

davew

We didn't deserve anything better than a draw, too many times giving the ball away, just hope we don't face Brentford or Millwall in the play offs. Well done though Fulham on extending the unbeaten run, I think the Cardiff result affected our performance and well done to Brentford on a very good performance.

Just left the ground,your correct.
Don't know why he went on the defensive like that last 10 mins, one goal is never enough..
What was going to be a happy train ride home,is now going to be a miserable one .😬😬😬

When sub Kabano was subbed (was he injured?  and Christie came on. I shuddered as we were bringing out the white flag and asking them to push on with no get out. Poor decision making by our coach I thought. Poor decision making by Christie at the end. Still 21 games not out is superb and impressive. Just wish we showed a bit more positivity in the last ten minutes.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this game, about our relative performance, about what Brentford did well, about split second hesitations on attacking in our final third, about how no one ran with Sess as he picked his way through  the left side and delivered a magnificent centering pass to...no one.  No one bothered to be there.  That was an instant goal if only a teammate had done his job.   I thought Ream saved our bacon on several spectacular plays.  Why were we giving them so much space in the last 3 minutes of stoppage time?

bucksfulham

Fair result. A little lucky as they had a clear penalty shout for handball turned down in the first half. Thought Sessegnon was particularly good today. They pressed us down quickly and we gave the ball away too often.

Wingnut

I have no argument with the result. They deserved their point. We need to start preparing for the play offs now. Wouldn't fancy playing them in the play offs.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

To be fair, we were lucky to get out 1-1, it could've been 3-1 them. We struggled with their very high press that just followed Cairney and Johansen in little traps. It was well executed by them.

I think the only place we were poor was the right side in attacking positions. Either Fredericks or Kebano/Piazon had their chances to get balls in or take shots on goal - and it just didn't happen soon enough. Fredericks two runs down the sides were the exception. We had them on the break several times there, and we just weren't decisive enough.

That happens though, and I still believe we'll beat Cardiff out. Gotta have faith - these are exciting times!

Agreed. Subbing a sub when there were clearly some exhausted players was disappointing to me, regardless of Neeskens not doing much in his 30 minutes.
'Cause I'm already gone, if you bet on me you've won.

Up you Whites

But he did give us a get out with his speed. But we just decided to throw it away. Very poor decision if he wasn't injured.

For a sub, Neeskens looked absolutely knackered when Slavisa pulled him.  Sweat pouring off his face.  Something odd there...  He wasn't on the pitch that long!

Citizen Smith

Yes, definite mistake by Slav to sub Kebano, we just went much deeper after that.
No need to throw the towel in yet though.........always lots of twists and turns in end of season games and Cardiff are hardly playing world-beating football.

Woolly Mammoth

Poor game management by Jok, far too negative, we are not that good enough to defend a goal lead every week, they out played us a lot in the first half, and overall we were poor and lacking in urgency and workrate on and off the ball, only did it in patches.
We have to show more assertiveness and intent.
Invited them on and they deserved their equaliser, but so unnecessary.

Tend to agree Matt, i feel we only see the best of Fredericks when Floyd is there, it is like he does not trust any of the others to cover him. I thought piazon was poor, Johansen as well apart from that superb ball to Mitrovic.
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

Don't know if its true, but some guy said walking through the park that there was a bug going round in the camp...Betts,Fred and Kebano were poorly as late as Thursday.
