The formbook is irrelevant

Reading will win @ Cardiff (due to home pressure) & cos Reading have to!

Us to draw or beat Brum(away for us not so pressured, pressure on Brum)

We take second place

Extraordinary finish to the season

Punch after punch thrown & taken, by both Cardiff & ourselves

Swopping 2nd place every time

All talk of "what if's - e.g. Brentford's very late equaliser, Cardiff should have beaten Derby now totally irrelevant & immaterial

Never thought that I would sing this but "come on you Royals!"

Nurse where's my tablets?

Knock me out until it's all over....

Then Shahid rattles a few bars on cages with the Wemberlee plans

Trust him to go one further than MAF's twin tower idea.....

COYW!!

Paul Clement will butcher his side at this moment in the dressing room, telling them they are the worst players he's ever managed and you'll all be out the door in the Summer....Players will perform at Cardiff .
Cardiff 0 Reading 3....Boom Boom.

Let me have some of whatever you're smoking

I've seen it many times, people because of Reading result today will think Cardiff will stuff them,it doesn't happen on many occasions... I'm going to have a nice bet on Reading...Coyw
Sorry Mince, I am going to have a nice bet on you losing!

Cardiff v Reading LIVE on Sky next Sunday.....they will also keep showing the B'ham v Fulham, as the 'goals go in'!!  and of course the constant 'table update'.
Better than nothing if you cannot get a ticket :)

Wouldn't it be fulhamish for reading, the team that broke our hearts last year in the playoffs to do us the favour we need, and furthermore for aluko to hit the target for a change and score the winner

Reading are something like 40/1 to be relegated, all bar a catastrophic set of results happening, which are likely NOT to happen.

Anyone thinking that Reading are capable of getting ANYTHING from Cardiff, are absolutely off their rocker.

Reading are rotten to the core, and will turn up to Cardiff, with the same mentality they've had all season.

If anything, we've got a tougher job on our hands getting something from Birmingham, who will scrap.

I went to the Reading match yesterday. They played well for the first 70 minutes and would have been 1-0 up except for a world class save by the Ipswich keeper early in the second half, but then Reading fell apart in the last 20 minutes. There was a huge amount of booing at the end and only a thousand people bothered to stay for the lap of honour. Paul Clement pulled no punches in his post-match interview. He said: "We're now in a situation we wanted to avoid. We have to get something at Cardiff or it is in the lap of the gods. The players have got to put in the performance of their lives next weekend. We're professionals and we've got to make sure we reflect honestly on what happened today and move onto Sunday." I think the Reading players will be highly motivated next weekend and there might be some surprises.

The good thing about Reading being thumped yesterday was that Clement was not happy at all, he will want a good showing against Cardiff for his own personal pride he's new in that job and a second thumping might lead to a sacking in the summer.

To put things into perspective we are in a much better place than the likes of Derby, Preston or Millwall who will be sweating over even getting into the play offs

Even if Barnsley, Burton and Bolton all would be leading, as long as we are in front against Birmingham, Reading has to do nothing. Reading would only be under pressure, if Birmingham would be in front. And then come hell or high water, we have to finish it in Wembley.

It will be pride that will motivate Reading to go on hols with at least some sort of plus.
The 4-0 late disaster is a perfect scenario for us.

We just need to win our game.

The only way Reading will know they have nothing to do is if they're told at half time that at least two of the teams around them are 2-0 or 3-0 down, which is possibly but not likely. In the much more likely scenario that Birmingham and a couple of the others are all still 0-0 at half time, they'll be sh1tting themselves and thinking they need a result. And they won't find out until the final whistle in their game how those other games have gone.
As long as Reading is on a draw, they are completely save. Only if they are losing they have to match the result of Birmingham. With other words, if we would have an early lead of 2 or 3 nil, Reading is save. The longer our game at Birmingham is a draw the better!

Exactly, they'll be playing for what they can get, notwithstanding that quite a bit would need to go against them, they can't count on that. Whether they have what it takes ti get anything is quite another matter. That's what makes it interesting but wouldn't it be ironic if Reading do the business but we trip up at Brum. Now that would be sickening.

Think about it... why would the management team tell the players the other scores until the end.. Derby should have been 6 down vs Cardiff first half last week then somehow scored three in the second half. The other teams could be 2 down each and pull off miracles to stay up. Unlikely but they could. No way in hell would the Reading coaching staff be stupid enough to tell the team the scores at Half time, unless they're going down, which would really get them fighting!

We can draw and go up. Last minute Sone Aluko screamer to put Fulham into the Premiership!

I'm optimistic about Sunday the reason I started the thread,I believe if we all think the same way we could get a result.
The final day of the season does always in all the leagues throw up the unexpected, and I've just got the feeling that Reading getting thrashed by Ipswich will work in our favour.
I remember at start of the season Yeovil getting 8 put past them at Luton, the following week they beat Accrington Stanley who have gone on to win the league.
As Jimmy Greaves used to say "Its a funny old game Saint"............. Believe. 049:gif 049:gif 049:gif

It's true - anything could happen.

With  our magnificent  support behind  them, I know the team will leave everything on the pitch at Brum, out battle and outplay them and get the three points, and who knows what  the Cardiff Reading result will be?

The script hasn't been written yet, and we can write it- so that Fulham  get the  automatic promotion that their tremendous run deserves.

It's not the time to give up, but to be determined - together we can do it 049:gif

The best thing is that Reading NEED a point to guarantee their survival.
After getting thumped by Ipswich (although they held them at bay for 70 mins), they will want to show some pride.......hopefully!! 😀

Something which everyone seems to have overlooked here is the 'Warnock Factor'.
I am surprised that no one has picked up on the fact that he referred to our game as 'that crap on Friday evening', but as much as we all hate the man he certainly motivates his teams in a way that no other manager does.
Cardiff have slipped up this season, but lately have shown more determination than nerves, plus a little luck which we all need.
I would love to see him fall flat on his face, but I just cannot see Cardiff bottling it at this stage.
That is not the Warnock way.
