Still haggling for price then. Nice to see that we're talking around £20 million rather than the rumored £30 million though.

Luke garbutt  has gone on loan to Oxford United, he's going backwards in his career

Tabby

Ozan Turfan, who we are interested in has gotten a £2.5 million bid from Palace. At that price it seems like a bargain.

Did Shad buy the centre court without telling us?
It could be better, but it's not a fantasy:

Probably after some decent weather after suffering Nice.

Viera, who is OGC Nice's coach, has said that Plea's excuse is that he 'missed the plane to Nice' but he has no idea where Balotelli is. Unlike SuperMario to cause trouble!

Fernhurst

Absolutely convinced we would announce one today......... refresh refresh refresh all day long and sweet fanny Adams!!
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Rui Fonte's wearing the #17 (his Braga number) in the Pre-Season training videos/pictures, so you'd assume we've got a new #9 coming in soon.

I hope you're right!!! We've currently got 16 players in our squad. SIXTEEN!!! And that's including Button, Djalo, Cisse, Fonte and Woodrow.

The window closes in 38 days. First pre-season match in 5 days.

Yeah, I'm starting to panic...

It says on the Monday stuff feed that balotelli has left after his 2 year contract expired.
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

I'll be ridiculed for saying this and branded a miserable negative git but at this moment I am not at all happy with our transfer business.
It is the start of pre season and we have a squad of 16! Now is the time for the squad to gel and prepare for the start of the season and we have gaps in the squad in many positions.
The fact is we are not at all ready for the start of the season. Thankfully we have a month and 8 days to sort things out but our preseason is already compromised because there is so much to do with getting a squad together.
The staff dealing with transfers deserve to be criticised because as of now sweet nothing has been done to fill the gaps we can all blatantly see exist.
I would have wanted at least a couple of transfers in by now and no-one can say it can't be done because plenty of the other premiership teams have gone about their business successfully.

Not happy!

I'm neither panicking yet or getting hysterical- but I am a tad bemused. The World Cup is undoubtedly a distraction to doing business / but surely that can only apply to the international players involved. So - are we exclusively looking to recruit from those teams involved or are we just a bit hesitant to get in there and get. Few deals over the line? Wolves have clearly shown their intent - when will we show ours ?

Totally understand this viewpoint but will reserve judgement until the week is out. Can't claim to know exactly what our pre-season is looking like on the pitch but imagine will be mostly fitness related in the early few days. Players will have had summer programs and they will be being assessed/put through their paces. More important for new signings to come in when we work on shape and our triangles. That being said, i am on here refreshing far too much hoping for good news so my nerves are also starting to go.

wheelerdeeler

Personally I'll only start panicking if we've still got a threadbare squad when we go to France in a couple weeks time. We usually don't make that many early signings and give the kids some proper game time in the first one or two friendlies to prove themselves like R. Sessegnon did against Brighton two years ago, and I think Jokanovic likes it that way to be honest (while he'd obviously want us to sign players at the same time).

The Crawley game especially, I'd expect us to give significant time (maybe even the full game) to S. Sessegnon, O'Riley, Edun, Norman etc.

Fernhurst

? Wolves have clearly shown their intent - when will we show ours ?

Ruben Neves has signed a new 5 year contract today.

That does just not make sense to me. He could be playing Champions League this season, but he chooses to try to elevate Wolves to top 4???
Wolves,,,,,,, don't get it :023:

If Wolves continue spending and strengthening they could be in Champions League this time next year
Leicester did it without spending loads

Twig

I am not yet panicking but I am concerned.  I really think we need to have 3 or 4 key signings in place before Friday 13th! (I actually think this is a reasonable expectation i.e. end if next week).  If we fail to meet this sort of deadline then we risk going away on our pre season tour with an incredibly weak squad and that just seems pointless, how can S J prepare for the premiership like this?

General

Would like us to go for takashi inui Japanese midfielder. Looks solid.
