Very glad we met Spurs early.

The perfect team to gain a Premier League perspective and it's good we met them early on. First, they're a top team with a top manager. Playing them gives us a point of reference. It gives us a Premier League benchmark, something our players and our management needed generally. Second, their squad hasn't changed. So they will inevitably have the better chemistry than most, if not all, teams in the league. If our players can review the match and begin to understand what it takes to compete with a team like Spurs, who are skilled, well managed and understand one another, they will be well equipped to compete with any team in the league going forward.

Sidenote: Once we calmed down, we began to pass the ball and the chemistry is certainly building. We at times played some nice football.

I am optimistic.
