Bolton defender Stephen Darby has been forced to retire from professional football after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease, He is only 29 and is married to Womens Football Captain Steph Haughton.

I am sure football fans everywhere wish his family, friends and fans all the very best in the future. When a tragedy hits the football community. We all come together.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

I wish there was a cure

Dear oh dear. What an awful decease that is.

Tragic - one moment your life is on track and then it is all taken away from you. What a terrible disease. The poor man.

Woolly Mammoth

Very tragic and shocking for him and his family and friends. For that to happen to anyone, let alone at such an early age.
So that certainly puts so much into perspective about football and life itself.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

With your permission, may I also add, that it is a harsh reminder to us all. Despite having our own issues and problems to deal with. How lucky we are in our lives compared to others, and that none of us are immortal.
