If they played like they did yesterday against us we probably would have got something. Taking nothing away from Lyon though, they were superb. Cornet looks quite a player.

Main difference is Lyon didn't give the ball away in dangerous positions, as we did. Don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of playing it out from the back, but we have to do a better job.

Having said that, Man City were very sloppy with the ball and far too open defensively; Lyon gave a masterclass in counter attacking and were very clever to double up on the right, thus pulling the Man City defence over to deal with it, then quickly spread the ball left to their spare man. Great tactics!
