NO FORWARDS on sub bench - which we were crying out for at 0-1 with 10 minutes to go
What was the tactic - to have loads of defenders against a team who had only scored 4 goals ?!

But against Man City - we play expansive football ?!

Surely this is indefensible - deliberate or just mad ?

Can any of the "SJ is the man" explain this?

SJ is the man and zero explanation needed.

The question is who is the next top tier man who would agree to our recruitment policy?

I don't think Joka is panicking.

He already have the Promotion Specialist title in his bag, he said he is not focused on his own contract and for the past 2 matches he brazenly said those matches won't define our season.

He sounded like how he did last season before Kline got thrown out by the police.... a man with a long term plan.

His tactics seems to say that he is fixing the defence first not caring for the result.

5 4 3 2 1.... I hope based on Fulham's love for DATA, we will get our first clean sheet against Liverpool.

Then again, if we lose by 5 goals the question still remains;

Who is the next top tier man who would agree to our recruitment policy?
Getting promoted twice doesn't make you a 'promotion specialist'
Especially since he cocked up the first 2 of our 3 shots at getting promoted.

Ok, so you like magician.

The question now for you is which top tier magician would agree to our recruitment policy?
I don't see why you think our recruitment set up is so outrageous? At neither of the Manc clubs, for example, is the manager given free reign over who he wants, despite the high profile nature of their managers, at United for example it seems to be a combo of Mourinho and Ed Woodward, and if you've seen the City documentary you'd see Pep doesn't just cherry pick who he likes. My optimal replacement for Slav, Ralph Hasenhüttl, as far as I was aware had very little say in transfers at RB Leipzig, instead it seemed to be solely on sporting director Ralf Rangnick and the rest of the hierarchy. I'm not saying the manager/head coach should have no say, I'm just saying our set up isn't as uncommon and absurb as you think.

So your answer is Ralph Hasenhüttl.

Then that is great... it answers my question which nobody dare to answer:)

nose returns

for what it is worth my opinion is slava has had a bunch of players dropped on him that probably seemed OK on paper but that he almost certainly would not have chosen himself. The squad like a couple of years ago is ridiculously light in some areas, and lacking in quality in others.

looking at MJGs poll of the players purchased it is astonishing the recruitment team did not bring in fullbacks that we are so desperate for, a centre half (if mawsom was injured when we got him and still not ready then that is another lesson not learned) a  tough central modfielder that holds hios position, tackles and retains possesion. and another forward as a minimum that is strong and can partner/understudy mitro. I am absolutely not a fan of schurrle, his perfomance against palace, the first game rang mega alarm bells and he has done nothing to calm my unease. he has skill and will get a few goals, but he is costing us far more with his selfish play, I am sure slava would not have chosen him and I suspect he is leaned on to keep him in the team, but for me he epitomises everything wrong with our recurietment policy, well intentioned but massively in error.

so we have a squad that is really not fit for purpose, lost our defensive coach who seemed to be doing a good job and are now paying the price. the problem with the manager is he has not made the best of it and seems to be panicing his way from game to game. Of course AK should have been on the bench for the huddersfield game.  AK is not brilliant but does bring energy to the team and could have been just the type of player to unsettle a tiring and nmrervous huddersfield defence. as it was he wasn'tr even an option.

the fact the manager cannot motivate the players for such a big game is concerning and his tacics really questionable. I hate to say that when sanchez was in charge and we were doing a bit better with apparently less talent in the side, the volume screaming for his head was amazing. and yet I am a little suprised people seem confident that this manager is the man to turn it round. How bad does it have to get to need to make a change?

Actually I am not sure what the answer is and the names being thrown about as potential replacements do not fill me with any great confidence. But we cannot stay as we are either or we will simply disolve away. I do think we are in danger on sunday of conceding double figures, we are quite that disorganised and with a midfield that gives up and schurrle that plays for himself and not the team ten could happen! I have never ever said anything like that before, I always felt if you were cute, you could beat the best no matter what. But this squad is not like any I have seen before, they simply do not want to put in the effort and give up when not in possesion.

the huddersfield game was inexcusable from the manager and the team, the owner needs to get a grip and kick them all up the rear end, so to speak.

Yup
AK would have been perfect for the last 15 minutes at Huddersfield
A bit of raw dynamism
Instead we got Christie replacing the right back with the worst attitude

AK perfect. Hmmm that's a new opinion.

Kebano was an effective sub last year,  seems to be out of favour four some reason.  Ayite was in favour until Huddersfield, and then left out completely.

Woolly Mammoth

There are so many loose ends with regard to whether a player is in favour or out of favour. There is a pattern here that points towards too many coincidences, and does that mean that the relationship between Manager and certain players appears to be fractured, and if so why and what has caused this.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Our central striker options are criminal for a prem team.
Even Cardiff and Huddersfield have far more options.
Why would we be so short sighted to leave ourselves with such a lack of options.
Over to you Tony-------You are the DOF

You do realise that Cardiff beat us with 2 converted midfielders at striker.
Yes and they did well against US on the day.
The point is though that although they have been injured Cardiff have Kenneth Zohore, Gary Madine and Danny Ward to compete for the central striker/target man position.

I'd much rather have Mitro, Vietto and Kamara as our striker options than those three.
