I've said it before on this forum. There is no point in slagging off our own players.

I can understand peoples' frustrations with the club hierarchy.
But the people on here slagging players who haven't even played for us yet, should be ashamed imo.

It is what it is. We have what we have and hope they do their best for the club.
That's all we can ask and we should wait and see them play.

Let's face it, at Fulham we specialise in rejuvenating flagging careers. Our big money deals rarely if ever work out well for us. But we've done well over the years with Damian Duff, Danny Murphy, Bobby Zamora, Edwin van der Sar, Mitrovic, early days but Babel is looking promising, etc. This type of signing fits right into that mould. Obviously there's no guarantee, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and hope for his and our sakes that this is one we will be able to add that list.

We must give the guy the benefit of the doubt and get behind him. He is Lazar and he has come to us . Lazarus ' career will be raised from the dead !!!

I assume he adds to the group of Babel, Schürrle, Sess and Vietto (maybe Kebano and Ayite) to occupy two forward thinking positions most days depending on set up.

He is fit for retirement...or Saudi Arabia and Mexico, which is pretty much the same. Might as well have signed a cleaning lady. Could have a future in futsal though. Maybe Tony Khan is considering starting a futsal team, after wrestling. That would explain this signing. Or maybe he was signed because of the raising of Lazarus biblical story (not sure if TK is aware of that one), a symbolic fight against relegation? Either way, I find no football explanation for this transfer.

Perhaps that's because you don't have as clue about why he was signed perhaps he has a point to prove after the way Liverpool treated him??!

Surely that is not how you judge the quality of a player. You have to look at performances over time and not in one game. Vietto has had his fair share of really bad performances for us. That doesn't mean he is horrible, just as the good half he played against Brighton all of a sudden has to mean he is the second coming.

As for Schürrle, he undoubtedly has qualities that few players in our team has, but at the moment he is not a starter for me.

So, educate me , what position is Markovic expected to fill . Midfield like Cairney, wide right like Shurrle , wide left like Sess. or just behind the striker like Babel.

[/quote]I very much do judge a player on what they bring to the team, and I'd be amazed if anyone thinks we are better when he plays. Individual talent means naff all if it has a negative effect on those around them. Hell even mitro said we were better when ak plays. Not sure that anyone can argue that Christie and mitro, and therefore the team all look better when we have a different right mid in. Yes he scores the odd cracker but that's literally it. Has he even managed an assist yet, and everyone knows he can't defend
