Too many loans!

Part of our problem is that we have signed too many players on loan for the past few seasons.  No loyalty, motivation to perform well.

Weird mode of transfer dealings. Seems to be what the khans like

2 year loan deal even more strange (schurrle)

the loans last season were the only way we could afford to get promoted and have the quality we did. It was the right way to do it given we had no more parachute payments coming. Even the much lauded Wolves has six loans.
Just the views of a long term fan

I agree for all the reasons you have stated, hence the reason why we are where we are, sooner or later a recipe for failure.

It's not actually the borrowing of players that is the problem but once you get promoted clubs ask for a lot of money should you want to keep them. Rightly you check out other options that are the same or appear better. However sometimes they do not fit as well. Ie Target & Bryan. Also signing keepers who cannot speak the language which plays a big part of commanding your box. Although wolves are quoted some players will fit better than others so it is unfair to judge all clubs the same.

The manager found a system that worked at last seasons level with the players given to him and loan system worked for us last season, that's a fact.

There was always going to be an issue this season with too many good enough to get us up but not good enough to keep us in the PL.

If you add in the players under contract but likely to struggle in the PL we were in a very scary position trying to field a team.

We needed to be quick out of the blocks and back the managers ideas, not try and recruit with one eye on whether it fits the owners sons game plan.

TK reminds me of a mug playing cards who has a system that he's convinced will work even when he's walking home having lost his shirt!

It's all down to personality ( again something that stats and computer models struggle with ). Chambers is a loanee and he is doing well for us . Last season Norwood put everything into his loan period and his attitude was first class. As MJG points out - loans may often be the only way to make things work from a practical point of view. Unfortunately the likes of TFM give the process a bad image
