The new ground seems to have shot up but we walked passed it last week and it looks impressive. I was talking about it with a local at Kew Bridge and alas they were not so keen. Congestion, congestion and more congestion was her concern. I suppose you can never win them all. When the fixtures come out we will certainly be there for the Chiefs game. FFC on Saturday Irish on Sunday....... no chance

They obviously have no ambition of getting in the PL with their small ground capacity. Rugby will not make for a good playing surface for the round ball game.

I think Brentford have been very sensible and while the new stadium it is not over ambitious it will be filled as  it is not far away from their old ground. With the sale of Griffin Park for housing it may not have overstretched their finances.

When we had rugby at the Cottage it certainly made a mess of the pitch but turf technology has moved on and you may find that a new pitch can take the load of rugby plus football.
Kew seems a good home for London Irish and they should do well from the move and their rent will certainly help Brentford.
