Charlton or Sunderland?

I don't know, I've never been to Sunderland so wouldn't mind the trip next season. But I got a small soft spot for charlton - londons forgotten club.

Charlton definitely, very much a club like ours. Almost went out of existence (and still not safe).
Brought back from the edge by their loyal support. Need a "White Knight" of their own not the dodgy Dutchman currently in charge.

Not really bothered, but I must admit having watched Sunderland til I Die on Netflix I've got a bit of a soft spot for them  and their supporters that wasn't there before!

I just finished watching Sunderland 'til I Die on Netflix and really recommend it. Two things that I took away from it that are relevant to our recent horrible season:

1. Getting what you want during the transfer window is really difficult, and

2. How gloomy and miserable it is for everyone (players, coaches, staff and supporters) during a relegation fight.

The show also reinforced the notion to me that, while he may not be a great football manager, Chris Coleman is a good person.

Last time we went to the Valley I used a couple of freebies from a Charlton fan at work.  Very odd experience, the seats were right next to the travelling FFC fans.  Being given verbals by your own fans felt very strange.

Do not care.My beloved Scottish team Saint Mirren have just won a penalty shootout to retain Premiership status.lt would have been dreadful to have supported two teams that were relegated.Fulham will return to the Prem next year!

Glad Charlton won, and they deserved it, pure theatre.
Another London Derby to look forward to next season and less traveling. Plus they are similar sized club to Fulham in a lot of ways, whereas Sunderland....

I'd have had a slight preference for Sunderland prematch but they were terrible on the day. Stadium at half occupancy for their home semi in the PO killing the myth that one club towns are sooooo much more passionate about their football
