To be fair, I'd like Timmy Abraham to be that next youth player we bring through.   He can get limited minutes with the 1st team at the #9 spot.   Rui is just there.

True, but we'll have to score a minimum of three a match to win with our back line.

Last time we were in the Championship we conceded on average one goal a game - and that was after a not very good start to the season. Not sure what the average was for the second half, but I bet it was less than 1.

Our worst results last season were when Rui Fonte was not available, we where much better when he was available and playing, but our best results were when Fonte was available but not required (as starter or sub on). If we can have Fonte available and not required (even as a sub) for 23 games or more this season we should do very well.

Best part it is a loan with an option to buy. One of worst parts of last off season was the time spent on Taggart, Mitro, Ollie, Piazon, Kalas trying to arrange making loans permanent. Cross my fingers, but maybe TK is learning from past errors.

TK made the right decision to "loan both" rather than "loan and buy one", that decision was so obviously was a good one.

Not sure why you specifically picked out the two winter loan transfers in lieu of the larger point regarding continuity.

This is based on your assumption that when a club loans a player with an option to buy them later, FFP treats the club as buying the player immediately. As I've said before, that would be absurd if true and therefore I'm almost certain it's untrue. It would also mean Wolves breached FFP by absurd proportions with their loan-to-buys.
