Aiming to go to Lison in September in a group of 8 fellas for a Benfica game.Can anyone reccommend  a decent hotel not too far from the Old Town?

Lisbon is one of the best cities in the world. If you haven't planned on it, then have a tour.

Lisbon is quite small as cities go.
2 districts to enjoy are Bairro Alto and Chiado where you will find plenty of life and bars.
The hotel Chiado is very good but there are plenty of hotels in that district.

Sitges to Lisbon a short journey ?
No rainbow flags flying in the early 70's when a group of us Feltham and Bedfont boys
used to go there for the summer (well, I only went once  :0)
