Bassey the warrior

I know it was a long time ago but he was class for us. If he's still at the level he'd add creativty and attacking verve.

Thoughts?

All depends on wages but i'd have him back in a heart beat.

Spot on - great character - works hard for the team- . If fit would be a good addition to the squad

Do we really reckon he's better than current options in MF? I think there's a good balance and depth to our MF lot at the moment.
Wasn't overly impressed with him last time and he's got to be 30 now?

29. Hes a hard worker, good attitude and would definitely add another dimension to our team/squad. I like him and as said, pending wages, i'd have him back.

I like him and rated him, but  with Reed, Reid, SteffJo, Arter, TC, KMac and the other youngsters I really don't see the space for him.

Southcoastffc

Hard to know how good he really was/is.  When with us it was under Mad Felix, with whom he (allegedly) was not on good terms.  If he's now reported as being in talks with Blackburn, with due respect to them, that's hardly setting very high sights.
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

Signed by Mulensteen I fancy, he was very good indeed until Magath came on the scene, played him out of position and Holtby then faded from the scene.

If everything so positive why is he available on a free at this time of season?

Totally agree, you beat me to the post.

He's been out of contract since June.

Could be numerous reasons, for example he may have not wanted to renew.

Statto

Quality player well done mowbray.

KJS

You have to ask yourself "Why is he on a free??" if he was still that good

Twig

Based on what I saw of him I would have welcomed him back.  Even if only for squad depth.

Jims Dentist

Mobray is an astute manager, but I wouldn't swap Holtby for either Arter or Reed.
