Had an e-mail from David Lloyd advising that the next TOOFIF likely to be early new year and it may well be the last.

All good things come to an end of course but in TOOFIF we had a very good thing.  It will be a shame but David's health comes first and I can fully understand he may not feel up to maintaining the regular publishing schedule.
Get better soon mate .... one last hurrah would be great but don't overdo it.

Agree with everything You say Mike. TOOFIF has been one of the very best fanzines not just in football but generally. However David's health is more important and I just wanted to add my hopes for his full recovery.

it would be nice if the club gave him a forever Fulham mention for all his past efforts

You beat me to it Mike. I too received one. End of an era would not do it justice. A phenomenal standard he reached and after a few editions completely on his own.  But David's health is more important. Good Luck David.

If it is the last, really hope someone else picks up the mantle.

We'll always be a club that can and should have a great fanzine IMO. Without wanting to sound conceited, surely our fans' IQ is above average (for football fans, at least) and you certainly need a sense of humour, irony and irreverence to support FFC.

David Lloyd and others involved in TOOFIF over the last 30 yrs deserve the highest level of recognition but I don't think anyone would dispute that in this age of the Internet and social media, the delivery of TOOFIF has become ripe for modernisation. The current website, for example, is decent but doesn't have a level of user-friendliness that matches the exceptional quality of the content.

It would be great IMO if there was some way TOOFIF, or a new fanzine, could be provided to the next generation of fans, in a way that honours and builds on the quality of the last 30 years.

Did you have in mind a subscription based version delivered in soft copy Statto? If it were available alongside the traditional hard copy I think that would work very well.

Totally agree about David's health. The fanzine should only go on if it was to the high standard that David has set. To me that seems unlikely as I have designed magazines myself I know what is involved. I think it would last a few months before falling away and disappear. A friend of mine who is a journalist in wales said the Internet has meant everyone believes they can write an article now. That is not the case. Some people are as boring as hell. A good journalist will give you a read you cannot put down. David is in that category. If it is the last one so be it. David you are a hero among us supporters
