A watford supporter of 60 years who had been at the Watford match with early stages of dementure left the ground walked to his car and found the battery was flat. He set off on a 10 mile journey home along a dark road possibly the A 41. He was seen in the headlights by Watford keeper Ben Foster as he slipped and fell down a ditch. Foster stopped the car picked the guy up and took him home. That is the abridged version. What a man well done

"Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never--in nothing, great or small, large or petty--never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense."

Good thing they play in those high-vis yellow shirts. Another reason we should never play in blue again  092.gif.

I read about this in last week's Mail on Sunday. What a gentleman he is and what a lady his wife is.  :54: And a very good keeper also.

Well done Ben Foster.
So good to hear about acts of kindness after all the negative news we get.

Very heartwarming story, Foster sounds like a genuinely decent chap.

Brilliant- restores your faith in people. Foster clearly good at saving people as well as shots. Not only a top keeper but also a top chap
