Just confirms that we need some depth, preferably some size. I think we walked it in too many times instead of taking chances. Cavaleiro made multiple streaking runs and was never attempted to be found. Those who say Cairney didn't play well aren't paying attention because each of our chances resulted from him playing penetrating passes. Reid has to finish 1 out of the 3 chances he had -can't get away with just hitting the target. Short of the first half of QPR at home, each player had their brain-fleeting moments throughout this match. We weren't quite switched on, and it showed. I wanted to see what Arter and KMac played like together, and it seemed that we had two very conservative players, which won't work when our system is built on sticking-and-twisting the centre mids.

One plus point though, imagine how good we'll be from set pieces with Hector and Mitro on the same pitch. Also kudos to Hector because he's showing he's top class at the moment

Absolutely........ my MOM Again
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Agree, that was very disappointing.  That is points dropped that Fulham should have won.

There was just no energy in the first half.  Subs should have been made sooner to get more out of the wings.

Very sad.

Defense did look good though.
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

At least that answers the question of do we need Mitro beyond doubt
well it doesn't really, as Parker won't pick actual strikers to play up top if him and kamara are injured

What strikers do you suggest Ben? Other than Mitro and Kamara who have we got?

That was just abysmal all round. No desire or urgency from our lot & team selection was lacking in any ambition. Just really disappointed for another wasted opportunity.  We clearly don't want top two. The players don't look like they care at all.  No one busts a gut or looks to do anything other than the safe (sometimes) back or sideways pass.

Really, really uninspiring stuff. How they didn't look motivated when they could be within 1 point of automatic knowing we put pressure on teams around us and against a team who I think hadn't won in 10. Blimey guys,m just when you think we've turned a corner, they pull this turd out of the bag.

No one busts a gut? Please, watch the match again. So many runs off the ball, many 50/50 challenges won. It was a dogfight.

I'm all for getting on the team for their performance. However, let's not make things up just because it is convenient to the theme.

Should have scored with the free header at the back post.

Fulham Tup North

Quite lackluster unfortunately ☹️ very one paced going forwards.
Could have put some real pressure on the top two tonight. Forest only drew which is good but I see this as 2 points dropped rather than one point gained.
Need Mitro back asap!! Cairney is offering little ATM also ☹️.
Very strange tactics 2nd half. Walking pace most of the time.
Frustrating is probably the best word for it.

Embarrassing really that anyone on that pitch,  Charlton or Fulham   regard themselves a professional footballer.  Zero quality or talent on show. Just one of those games I guess

Forest drew against Reading, In a week when there have been plenty of shocks and surprises I am always staggered when Fulham fans expect to win and are disappointed. No forwards and players out injured. Not a defeat and we keep ticking along.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

At least the whites walking football team beat the reds in the pre match entertainment. I think we might be signing a couple of them up before the window closes as they looked more incisive and bothered than we did when the main event started.

toshes mate

That was worse than dire and it is two points thrown away rather than one gained.  Midfield muddled, incoherent, and jammed packed with players who were simply not switched on.  A big step backwards.

I think it's because A) we thought we'd finally turned a corner B) the performance was poor, C) we only have ourselves to blame, no bad decision, no unlucky finishes/worldy GK saves and D) we had a real opportunity to show we are really going for that top 2 spot. Yet, we play a really, really out of form Charlton side, and only manage a draw which could see us move further away from automatic after playing a bottom 10 side. It will be our luck that WestBrom and Leeds find motivation from our poor result and win with injuries, suspensions and poor form which then puts the pressure on us, something we don't really cope well with.

It's so frustrating. I cannot for the life of me fathom this side's energy one game to the next. We blow so hot and cold. I don't know the answer but I feel it's confidence and psychological. Parker has to work out how to get inside these players' heads. They need to believe in themselves and each other. They need to believe they are better than whatever is put in front of them. Our promotion team oozed this belief.

Moaners out in their numbers as per usual. Let me kindly remind you that there are SEVENTEEN games left to play and we are 3 (albeit potentially 4 or 6) points behind Leeds.

The performance was sub par and certainly a frustrating result, however, it's important to remind ourselves that we are missing key players - including our top goal scorer. Thought we really missed mitro today as it was very hard to break charlton down. That being said, another clean sheet and another point. Huddersfield and Blackburn next; hopefully we can get good numbers down at blackburn to give the lads a boost.

We need to keep an eye on Brentford in the equation. They have real momentum and belief at the moment.

I totally agree. A few teams sniffing around and will make an entertaining season finale. But some posters on here are so cynical that I often wonder whether they are WUMs...
FWIW, I think the current state of our defence will ultimately put us in real good stead for automatics; Mitro's return can't come any sooner!

Spirit of 2000

Back to the same old slow tempo, sideways and backwards rubbish with no incision. Not impressed tonight,  backwards step after Boro game.
