Parker in the dugout

It struck me tonight as a few of the crowd started to get quite vocal about our slowness or lack of directness (something I actually thought was much much better tonight, but not the point I'm making), that Scott is very distant and protected from fan grief in the dugout due to the riverside development. It's a very unique and sheltered position he is in this year, one that not many managers get to enjoy.

I wonder how aware he is of the frustration at times and if he can even hear it from his side of the pitch. The Sky interview post Derby clearly rattled him, and some of that might be down to the fact that it's news to him.

Not that I felt any grief was warranted tonight, but it struck me as a few very vocal fans were venting that he may be in a very fortunate position to not hear a lot of it.
