The Football Pools
« on: March 28, 2020, 10:05:54 AM »
What's going on with this lot?  I've just received my renewal for next month and not a word about how they propose to deal with the fact that there is no UK football.  The only professional leagues operating at the moment are, I think, Belarus, Burundi and Bangladesh.  I may be wrong about the last two.

Anyway, for decades I've made the mistake of using the same numbers week in and week out, not daring to stop in case they came up.  What a sap, I know.  Since the Football Pools have not had the decency / business sense to let me know just how they will operate, I've seized the opportunity and made the decision to kick them into touch.  My only dilemma now: how shall I spend my £70 a year?

Free at last!

Remember when it was a big thing the pools.
Dad won £750 back in late sixties for 3rd div, would have been £8,000 if Notts County hadn't scored in last minute..Myself and sister got new clothes, and we all went on hols to Eastbourne..

Is there not a pools panel in operation as in previous occasions when football was postponed.
I always found it interesting to see how the experts predicticted our fixtures.
