so who is your favourite James Bond? I'm guessing it'll depend on how old you are?
those of us who were old enough to go to the local flea-pit in the 60's will have a fond memory of Sean Connery, some of us will only have seen 007 on the small screen and I'm guessing that Roger Moore will get you vote?
George Lazenby only did one film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"
Timothy Dalton did a couple, The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill (Licence Revoked in the USA)
Pierce Brosnan had 4 run-outs GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough & Die Another Day
which leads us to the current Mr Bond, Daniel Craig

*David Niven played James Bond in the 'original' (1967) Casino Royal more of a comedy than a spy film

so who is your favourite 007? which was the first film you can remember seeing? did you see it at the cinema or on TV?

bog

Did you know that Bob Holness once played 007? I cannot recall when or where but I heard this a while back.

I went for dalton as he took bond in another more gritty direction than the previous rapey antics of Moore
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

You can't beat Sean Connery as Bond, the original and best. Remember driving home from Surbiton Odeon and everyone was driving like Bond in his Aston, very dangerous. :005:

I feel that the most qualified person to ask is Miss Moneypenny.

I think it was on radio

Sgt Fulham

I prefer the take of Bond played by Daniel Craig, and think he does a fantastic job with the more gritty, problemed character. I do love the Sean Connery films and would be surprised if he doesn't win on this poll as many of you will see them as the original nostalgic Bond films. Weirdly my favourite film was the Lazenby Bond, 'On her Majesty's Secret Service'. The location and drama of it was excellent including the bobsled chase (which was a much harder sequence to create back then), and the ending left me gutted for days on end. I'm not someone who usually gets emotional watching films.

Roger Moore for me . Did you know Sean Connery wasn't  the first actor to play Bond on screen ! I

There are two stand outs for me, Craig and Connery. I went for the latter but would fully understand if Craig won the vote.  Please not "ham it up" Moore.

Pierce Brosnan is a Fulham fan what I heard. Saying that I'm not adding any 007 ranking to it.
Only Sweden has Swedish gooseberries.

Peabody

Don't forget that several actors played Bond in Casino Royale, including Peter Sellers and David Niven

Sean Connery for me with Roger Moore in 2nd.  I do like Daniel Craig but Mr. Connery for top spot  :wine:
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

cottage expat

No brainer. Sean Connery set the tone.

filham

Has to be the original Sean Connery, the others are just good copies.

Milo

Also a no brainer for me and it has to be Roger Moore.

Quintessential English charm!

RaySmith

I do always think of Sean Connery as Bond.

Well, he was one of the two Bond films I've  seen at the cinema, the first ever Bond, Dr. No, with the iconic scene of Ursula Andress striding out of he sea in a white bikini.

I was a big fan of the Ian Fleming novels back then, borrowed from the local library, and saw the film at my local fleapit - the Brxiton Astoria, now Brixton Academy  concert venue.

New Kid on the Block

It's Pierce Brosnan for me. That may be because the films were really good as well, with lots of stunts in them.

alfie

Roger Moore for me, just edges Connery.
