Olivia Newton John sang Jolene and had a hit with it. When She was winning awards in the States on the Country Music scene. Many Country Artistes were against an Aussie with British producers coming over and winning Grammies on their patch. It wasn't really Country music but Cross Country. But two legends stood out and claimed that Olivia Newton John deserved all the praise and awards she got. Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton.

Near the end of her life Olivia Newton John couldn't stand very well but still had her voice. She wanted to make an album of duets. This was one of them.

I'm not sure why we have a Friday thread, when we have a general music thread.

I'll admit that i only tend to post in this thread, but i can adapt.

Hey man get with the groove. The Friday Night Thread tends to be for classics and bands we used to bop to when we used to truck on down to the latest sounds when the clock on the wall said it was time to call time on the dance floor. Whereas the other is where you can post anything and everything that has caught your ear. Frankly we can never have too much music.
