Ancient history. The future is what matters.

Yes, you are on the ball and the key to the future is at 1-30pm on Saturday 20th June, win that one at we can start thinking play offs and premier league.

No doubt Ernie Clay and David Bulstrode would have found a good use for the site had Trinder stepped in and bought.
That is a thought, coupled with the woodyard the Cottage site would have doubled in value as a property development project and Clay and Bulstrode would probably have been in there much quicker and got things moving well before Jimmy Hill and his team had got their act together.

A good point.  I'd love to know the sale price of the site, particularly in comparison to what our existing land was worth. Interesting to learn completely new FFC history (to me).

Jims Dentist

Not exactly sure of the timescales but:
I have heard that wealthy QPR chairman Jim Gregory "around that time" was actually a Fulham fan.  and was looking to buy or buy into Fulham.
He was a more astute businessmen.
Have any of you older posters have a recollection of this?
