As I understand, we approached Wenger before appointing Parker (and maybe before then, even, prior to Ranieri); he couldn't be persuaded. And I would imagine Pochettino could find a club in any of the four big European leagues - making it hard to believe he'd choose to manage in the Championship (no matter how great his bonus).

Wenger is a big no no. He inherited an amazing back 5 and only managed to replace them with sol Campbell. I couldn't think of a worse manager to bring in to help organise a defence
