If the Preston/Derby game ends in a draw tonight then we have a nine point cushion over the team in 7th place.
With only six games left to play surely that would almost guarantee us a play off place.

Sheffield Wed to beat WBA tonight would help us.

Unlikely though and I have all but given up on automatic promotion.
The play offs are still a possibility but on our current form Brentford and Forrest present huge obstacles.

Rooney has given Derby an early lead, could Derby make a late run into the play offs.
What an awful thought having to overcome Derby over two legs and being finally beaten away at their ground.

Derby's next 5 games are Forest, Cardiff, Brentford, West Brom and Leeds so either they or our rivals will drop points.

Well that is one hell of a run in and almost makes our play off place a certainty.
Also Birmingham fell apart tonight so they will not be full of confidence on Saturday.
I think after a win on Saturday Parker can start resting players and plan to be in the best possible state for the play offs.
