absenteeism

Hello my fellow fofers,

Looking for some help and hoping this can distract from the boredom of the transfer market!!  079.gif

I have to research the telecoms mobile market.

What challenges the telecoms mobile market faces?
Also I have to figure out why Grameenphone is the most dominant, and has been for years, mobile provider in Bangladesh. Google is throwing back nothing as to why it's so popular. So this is my hail mary attempt!!

Any thoughts/input greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Andy S

The mobile phone is a new invention,
its usefulness is beyond contention,
people use their phones all the lifelong day,
make a call, and walk away,
away from doubt, away from fear,
away from the  beast that's lurking here,
away from me, away from you,
away from the bars of the human zoo,
away from larks upon the lawn,
away from  the picnic hamper, so forlorn.
away from masks, and from disease,
to a place where there's no deep freeze,
no microwave, no mobile phone,
leave me out, i want to be alone.

For Grameenphone:
Look up the company history and research their financial accounts (will highlight changes during each financial year)
Have there been any significant takeovers which increased their market share
How does their network compare with others - geographical spread, population coverage, quality?
How innovative have they been with additional services, flexible payment options, supporting take-up/usage in rural areas
The information is there if you look for it

Hence the 'NFR' tag, I assume. That should make it easy for you to avoid the thread if you are not interested, instead of being rude. This is not your personal forum, but shared among Fulham fans and as such it is not up to you to dictate what other people have the right to post (within the forum rules).

Not a great fan of Wiki but their page entitled 'Telecommunications in Bangladesh' has a fair amount of information about Grameenphone which will help you with further research, especially their xg(eneration) coverage.  Look at the references when searching for deeper insight.
