Arsenal star one of three players that London rivals want to sign

Emile Smith Rowe has emerged as a summer target for Fulham.

The Premier League new boys want to avoid a repeat of the last time that they were in the Premier League when they went down after just a single season in the English top flight.

They have now returned and manager Scott Parker is determined to ensure that they stay longer this time.

The former Premier League midfielder will be backed to bolster his team this summer in a bid to maintain their top-flight status at the end of next season.

Star Sport claims that the Cottagers are eyeing a move for Arsenal's Smith Rowe alongside, Grady Diangana of West Ham and Mario Lemina of Southampton.

Smith Rowe is highly rated at Arsenal and he spent the second half of the last campaign at Huddersfield Town.

He impressed in his time with the Terriers and he is now hoping to earn a place in Mikel Arteta's first team in the coming season.

Arsenal's plan for him seems to have been confirmed after the Gunners knocked back an attempt to sign him from Monaco recently, but the report claims that he will be interested in moving across town to Fulham.

Report: Fulham reach agreement with Southampton for Mario Lemina

Fulham have moved into pole position to sign Mario Lemina, with Foot Mercato reporting that they have reached an agreement for the Southampton midfielder.

Lemina's future has looked set to lie away from St Mary's for some time. The Gabon international spent last season on loan at Galatasaray.

Foot Mercato has suggested that Gala would like to keep the 26-year-old. However, it appears that he is on course to remain in the Premier League next season.

According to the report, Fulham have reached an agreement with the Saints over a potential move for the former Juventus man.

It would appear that personal terms still need to be discussed with the player.

TBR View: Southampton need to strengthen should Lemina leave

In truth, it is difficult to imagine Lemina playing for Hasenhuttl's men again. Despite his ability, he has arguably not shown anywhere near enough since his £18.1 million move (fee reported by BBC Sport) to justify getting into the team ahead of some of his teammates.

But his departure should still act as a catalyst for a move to bring a midfielder in. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has already left, and Scott Parker also has the opportunity to make Harrison Reed's loan permanent (via London Evening Standard).

They are therefore, looking set to be a little light in the middle of the park. So the supporters may be hoping that Lemina's potential exit is swiftly following by the arrival of a new signing.

Fulham closing in on Southampton double deal with Harrison Reid set to seal £8m move and outcast Mario Lemina joining in £2m loan fee

Fulham are closing in on signing of Harrison Reed from Southampton for £8m
Mario Lemina is also set to arrive at Craven Cottage for an initial £2m loan fee
Lemina's deal will include an obligation for Fulham to buy him if they stay up

Fulham are close to striking a double deal for Southampton midfield pair Harrison Reed and Mario Lemina.

The Premier League new boys have activated their £8m option to sign anchorman Reed from the south coast club following their promotion to the top flight.

And Lemina is set to move to Craven Cottage on loan for an initial £2m fee, with an obligation for Fulham to buy him if they stay up.

Fulham are set to sign Harrison Reed for £8million following his successful loan spell

Fulham are also set to sign Mauro Lemina on loan from Southampton for an initial £2m loan fee

Midfielder Reed has spent the season on loan at play-off final winners Fulham from Southampton.

Fulham, who beat neighbours Brentford in extra time at Wembley to secure promotion, had an option in the deal to buy Reed for £8m if they clinched promotion and a lower fee if they failed to go up.

Fulham manager Scott Parker is looking to bolster his squad after promotion to the top flight

Southampton have been looking for a buyer for Gabon midfielder Lemina for some time.

They were hoping to recoup at least £10m for him having spent £15.4m to sign him from Juventus in 2017.

But with no club prepared to meet their asking price he spent last season on loan at Galatasary and will now head to top flight new boys Fulham.

Fulham reportedly 'favourites' for Cash, but Sheffield United have leverage with Freeman

Fulham are now the "favourites" to sign Nottingham Forest's Matty Cash, according to the Telegraph, in a £10m-plus-player deal.

Sheffield United have already had a £10m offer for Cash rejected themselves, with Forest holding out for £15m.

Yet the newly promoted Cottagers believed they can tempt the Reds into an agreement by offering them a member of their squad as a makeweight.

The report doesn't mention which player they are ready to send in the opposite direction to Cash.

West Ham United have also held a long-term interest in the 23-year-old. Meanwhile, Aston Villa have recently joined the chase as well.

For the Blades, who have already lost out on Antonee Robinson to Fulham this summer, this won't come as good news.

Why they could still beat Fulham to Cash
All is not lost at Bramall Lane just yet, however, as the South Yorkshire side could also use their own player to sweeten the deal. Not only that, but it is someone they know Forest want.

That is because Sun journalist, Alan Nixon, says the Championship club are still keen on signing Luke Freeman. This is a pursuit that dates back to the January transfer window, when the Reds first showed interest in Freeman.

Now Nixon claims the Blades could be prepared for the midfielder to leave on loan. Perhaps Freeman could be used as their own makeweight in the Cash deal, gazumping Fulham in the process?

The only issue for manager Chris Wilder would be losing another member of what is already a depleted squad. Five players have left as free agents this summer. Dean Henderson and Richairo Zivkovic have also returned to their parent sides after loans.

The only new additions so far are both goalkeepers, with Aaron Ramsdale joining from Bournemouth and Wes Foderingham secured on a free transfer.

Yet if it could help land Cash, Wilder might be open to letting Freeman go the other way.

Report: Fulham reach agreement for Mario Lemina

According to reports from Foot Mercato, newly-promoted Premier League club Fulham are in pole position to sign Mario Lemina this summer.

The Cottagers are looking to make several new additions to their squad ahead of the new season, and have earmarked Lemina as a potential option.

In fact, the London club have already reached an agreement with Southampton to secure the signature of the 26-year-old midfielder.

Lemina is not in Ralph Hasenhuttl's first-team plans, and his future has looked set to lie away from St Mary's for some time.

The Gabon international spent last season on loan at Galatasaray. The Turkish club is looking to keep hold of Lemina beyond the summer, but it looks like Fulham are winning the race for his signature.

It seems that Fulham need to agree personal terms with the former Juventus man, but it won't be a huge issue.

Lemina joined the Saints with a lot of promise but he failed to live up to the expectations at the club.

Fulham are also looking to bolster their attacking areas this summer, and are targetting Ollie Watkins from Brentford.

They are also reportedly interested in signing Callum Wilson from Bournemouth.

Also, the London outfit are close to signing Matty Cash from Nottingham Forest as well.

Arsenal fans react to Calum Chambers reports amid Leeds interest

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from TEAMtalk this week claiming that Mikel Arteta is ready to let Calum Chambers leave amid interest from Leeds United and Fulham.

Chambers has been sidelined since the second-half of last season due to injury. He had been impressive before picking up the injury, but he has arguably proved to be difficult to rely upon.

The former Southampton man has made just over 100 appearance across the five seasons he has been a part of Arsenal's squad.

And TEAMtalk reports that Arteta has informed Chambers that he is not in his plans. The Gunners want £12 million for the 25-year-old.

The report noted that Leeds and Fulham are keen on signing Chambers, with the former making contact with Arsenal over a potential move.

Interestingly, it appears that plenty of Arsenal fans are not happy about the reports. Several have taken to social media to insist that Chambers should be worth a lot more.

A handful have claimed that he should cost £25 million. And others are clearly convinced that he is one of the fringe players that the club should keep during this window.

Arteta has not got a lot wrong since taking over at the Emirates. But it would appear that a number of supporters believe that this could prove to be an error if Chambers is allowed to join the likes of Leeds or Fulham.

Here is how some of the Arsenal supporters have reacted to the reports...

We bought Chambers for £16m so I wouldn't take anything less than £25m for him.

I'd personally keep Chambers because he was our best CB before his injury and can play multiple positions.

12 million are you kidding me he is easily worth 25 million

    Wow... Not good

    — Kieran Martinelli🌪️AFC🔥 (@4rmDavesCave) August 26, 2020

Chambers is better than Holding and Mustafi and Mari. What is going on 😂 https://t.co/0U2iSBeeFz

    — 🥩 (@fullnamedaniel) August 26, 2020

I'll rather keep Calum than holding tbh https://t.co/xQf5GeoO3S

    — J 👑 #18th (@JiggaJ243) August 26, 2020

Chambers really did well at Arsenal sad to see him leave.
But it for the best. https://t.co/qsSoQ8gpI0

    — Maya (@Nehemiahmusa11) August 26, 2020

£12m 🥴 he's English and can play multiple positions should be around £25m

    — Rob (@afcROB9) August 26, 2020

    Worth more than 12m surely?

Wes Foderingham an ex-Fulham trainee and local lad. Good to see him doing well. Wonder if they would be interested in his almost namesake Mark Fotheringham too?  :005:

With all the interest in outside attackers, have we given up on Cav and Knockers?
Its not that I could and others couldn't.
Its that I did and others didn't.
