Today’s game could define our season

Scotty and the lads have played well over the last month and our defence has looked rock solid. Our draws against Spurs, Liverpool and Saints have been great results and the positives are there for all to see.

However - we must remember we are still in the bottom three and without a win in quite a while. 2 wins thus far is acceptable but we really need to start converting D's into W's if we are to stay up. I think a win today is absolutely crucial for our season. Chelsea have been poor of late and 0 points for us today means the games against Brighton and Burnley etc become huge pressure on the players. This isn't to say if we lose today we go down - rather, if we win today I think confidence will sky rocket and we will press on to assured safety.

If the footballing gods were ever going to do us a favour, today is the day.

Hope you're right, but we need to keep playing the way we have been, believing in ourselves, whatever the results of today's games.

WE need to keep our nerve whatever happens, other teams are bound to slip up along the way, and even if we lose today all is definitely not lost.

How many reasons are there we need to win today? Only 1, just 1, its Chelsea, thats the only real reason we need to win,  anything else is a bonus!

A win today and it could really transform us. A loss and suddenly, we're cut adrift with tough games in hand with teams around us picking up points......Not a nice position to be in if Brighton win too as pressure mounts against a decent Chelsea side. Feeling a little ugh about it right now....

Oh yes Rog !!!!

Utterly convinced the football Gods are not with us today.
Even if we win we remain in the bottom three.... sigh 😔
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Today's game won't define our season. No need to hit the panic button. There's still more than half a season left for us and who knows we just might get all 3 points today.

Which is exactly why we the games against Brighton and Southampton in particular were poor results (irrespective of how well the Saints are travelling).

In this sport, you need to take calculated risks to try and turn draws in to wins, and we have been too content to sit on draws at home.
