At the end of the day it's what we do not the rest of the pack.

I have decided to try not to worry about what other teams do, that is out of our hands. As long as we make sure we win our matches. Tottenham Hotspur have over an hour to get back into the game. But it looks so far as though we did well to get a draw at Brighton. .

Erm, no its not. We can't catch them unless we win games AND they drop points. Hence why a few of us have been saying since the Brighton draw that its likely closed curtains.

If we win enough games, we will catch someone. A mathematical fact. It is still in our own hands with only about half a season gone.  Obviously, if another team has a bad set of results in the second half of the season, it means we don't have to win as many.

A long way to go, never give up and Scott Parker will not and neither will I until it is mathematically impossible.

We are going to try and have to play to win rather than play to draw.

If the teams above us win enough games, we won't catch them. That is a mathematical fact. We absolutely have to rely on others losing as much as we do ourselves winning. Can't believe this is a difficult concept.

You don't understand the mathematics. Take the extreme example. If we win all 18 games remaining, we will be safe, because not all the teams above us can reach 68 points, even if any one of them individually could  - all of them can't win all their games, because they will be taking points off each other. Let's say we win seven, draw five, lose six, taking us to 40 points.  Barring a freak set of results in the second half of the season, we would not be not be relying on any single other team to drop points.  Yes, it makes the target lower if one team has a particularly bad run, but at this stage, it is in our own hands. So it is more about us winning (and only that) rathert than other teams losing, at this stage of the season.

I do understand the math.....it's just a ludicrous proposition. I reframed it. Equally, this is a ridiculous conversation.

I agree there's no point in discussing this any further. Let's just agree that we both hope we stay up.

FFC1987

Agreed. I'm resigned to think we're down but I just want to see some nice football and some wins at this point. 2 out of 20 attempts is depressing.

Realistically...how many points might be enough?? 38?? So we would need 24 more points... so 18 matches  and need 8 wins or 6  wins and 6 draws... Draws we can do, we know that... but 6 wins could be a little harder to come by.... hopefully tomorrow's new Striker will help with that 👍👍🙏⚽️

The only thing we have going for us is that we have a goal differential better than....wait a minute, strike that, we have nothing going for us.
There is only one Fulham Football Club.

That's correct we need wins let's hope we get them. Coyw

Spurs are crap without Kane. No doubt he'll be back to bag a hatrick against us.
