Liverpool signed Harvey Elliott as a 16-year-old in 2019 but could not agree a fee with Fulham; the Premier League champions are reported to have offered around £750,000 in compensation, while Fulham are seeking around £8m

Perhaps loan them RLC for the remainder of the season & call it quits?  :hook:

Always been an advocate of any young player moving to another club ie being poached should automatically have a sell on clause inserted.
Any young player moving as Harvey Elliot has should have clauses inserted apart from sell on and should include other issues such as goals scored, international appearances as well as there is always a chance they never move on from that club.

Serious point. Since it's taken well over 2 years to get to this point Fulham should get interest on the award.

They took there time, better late than never.

They got the player and sent us his bun!

The fee for Harvey Elliott isn't enough to buy his replacement Knockaert. Both players are about the same standard, only one was starting his career the other is finishing. What a joke?

If we can buy Lookman with the Harvey Elliott fee, then surely that would be almost fair, although i would still prefer Harvey Elliott.

That's three sheep and two goats more than some of our other places will get.

If Tony Khan is honest (a big if that only I seem to believe) about our financial situation for next season and we get another £10m, then our squad in the championship will be wow, wow and double wow.

Its fairly likely we will be selling Anguissa at the end of the season, but reinvesting all the money from sales is something a relegated club rarely does, with Newcastle being the last to do so.

If they give us Salah & Mane + 10m that sounds about right?

I thought we had a reported £12m for Roberts which I thought was not unreasonable although I was sorry to see him go.

In my personal opinion, a youth player shouldn't be allowed to move clubs until their 18 at a minimum. They also shouldn't be paid more than £100,000 a year until their 21. This gives smaller clubs a chance to develop and actually earn decent money. Imagine players like Harvey Elliott, the Sessengnon twins or Patrick Roberts playing for us week in, week out. They would learn so much more than going out on loan every season.

I thought the Pat Roberts deal was a potential £12m fee. Something like £5m up front with potential add ons based on appearances etc.
