In all honesty, Irelad have the quality of Championship teams. And that Mitro can score at this level, everybody knows. But yeah, good to see his name on the scoresheet, it should boost his confidence.

But he took on the two premier leagues players Stevens and Clark for both goals.

+1000 I know Parker has said he's not at the races, he's had covid or Parker simply hasn't chosen him but in all honesty considering how few goals we've scored this season I see it as absolutely criminal how little mitro has played given the fact that in reality he is our most natural and potent attacking player. He's a fighter and loves or has been very vocal of loving this club historically. There's a huge value to that. Mitro showed today in a brief cameo he's got sharpness in front of goal - the chip was fantastic and showed confidence and execution and alertness which we've not really seen in our front line at all.

For me he's a starter. Put him in the Loftus cheek role.. or swap BDR to the Loftus cheek role and have maja and lookman on the wings. We have to make more of his ability in this run in.

I think he has been down since blaming himself for not getting Serbia into the Euros, hopefully that's resolved the issue.

I think that was part of it. Parker made reference to the weight of expectations on him. But last night he looked back to his best albeit against a poor Irish side. Nevertheless the header was that of a natural goal scorer which Cav certainly is not. Get him in

Two well taken goals against very ordinary opposition. That said Mitro is a natural goalscorer.  I really hope Parker finds a way to get the best out of him because it could make all the difference.

Right, lets wait a week and see if in that time Cav., Maja, Reid, Lookman or RLC score a brace, if not then without doubt we have to start with Mitro against Villa.
Surely it is obvious that with only three goals from the last six matches we have to use our player who is capable scoring goals. Sure Parker may have to adjust his attacking tactic a littlebut we are desperate for goals.
