Refereeing has really gone to the dogs hasn't it. That he gives a penalty and sending off....and VaR saves them again. Disgraceful to the game this.

That was the right decision. Clearly hit his shoulder

Yes I agree. Thought the first one should have been given though.

I think refs are scared of some managers,  eg Dyche, Mourinho, Klopp, Allardyce, and these mangers set out to intimidate the refs as part of their game plan, especially Dyche and big Sam.

Big point for Burnely. Now 7 ahead of us. It's turning into a 3 horse race

Burnley are absolute trash, too.
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

They are but they went on a mini run and that looks like it may have saved them

My thoughts as well.
Bully boys intimidate the refs.
Watch tomorrow be the same old story with Klopp.

The mini run and good starts has probably condemned us to be honest. Saints and particularly Newcastle. If only we were even remotely prepared at the start of the season....

Nail on head, if we go down it will be due to the late signings including lack of preparation by the part time absent D of F.

Ings off injured for Southampton. Went down off the ball, which isn't a good sign.

Fully expect us to get shafted by the officials tomorrow for the full 90 mins.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Salah will handball in their own penalty box, Andersen will get the Red, PK to Liverpool.

No!!! Home win for Sheffield United please!

Don't think we'll catch Wolves in a million years but you never know, and they're closer to us than Villa, so home win in that fixture too please if I'm being picky

I'd like Arsenal, Wolves, Villa, Southampton, and Leeds to all be comfortably mid table when they play us. Could be 10 - 12 points available if their motivations are low. Really believe if the club can get to 38 points, we will stay up.

My opinion on Burnley is the same now as it was after we played them. They know they're not going to beat any other PL side at "football" so their aim is to take football out the equation. Reminds of that Gazza story about Vinnie Jones saying to him in the tunnel before a match "I can't play football, and today, neither can you." Burnley's MO is to reduce the contest to one that will be won or lost based on luck, a bad decision from the ref or a player's mistake. That's exactly what they did today.

With that said, them getting 1 pt won't save them. I expect them to pick up points and we just need to pick up more if we're to catch them.

On the other hand, a win for Southampton today probably puts them out of reach realistically. Sigh...
