As I see it, we need to get twice the points on the way in, as we did on the way out.

Sounds a tall order.

At the halfway point, we had 13 points.

We're now 4 matches passed half way but have played 5 teams in the reverse fixture (we haven't played burnley yet)

In these fixtures we have returned exactly the same points 6 but it certainly feels like a good start.

Brighton - 1
WBA - 1 (that could hurt)
Leicester - 0
West Ham - 1
Everton - 3

4 points from next two games would put us on target

I think if we average 1.5 points per game for the rest of the season, we'll stay up.
That needs to be more over the next 3 games as you'd think Burnley, Sheff Utd and Palace are all games where we stand a decent chance of 3 points.
Wednesday will be tough, very tough. Not sure if we'll stay with a back 4. I hope we at least start with last night's formation

Performance wise we can win any of our remaining games except Man City. I know we won't win all but 1 remaining game but you get my point.

There is no fixture apart from Man City which scares me.

Just noticed that we are playing both Man C and Liverpool a few days before their respective CL games, that could work in our favour!

If it matters, we actually got seven points the first time through those five matches. Beat WBA and Leicester, and drew Brighton.

Great that we got two goals at Goodison Park  but we need a few more before we can say that goal drought is behind us.

Lets target goals before we target points and then we can be confident of converting some of those earlier draws into wins.

All I can say is it would be a shame if this fine show v Everton goes for naught with a loss in Wed game.  And for that matter, the next three games upcoming have points in them for the taking.  The Everton win will not much matter if we see a poor show the next three games.  I'm hopeful that FFC can build on this terrific win and continue in this direction.  The big test is to come off this nice win and duplicate this Wed.

Fingers crossed.  COYW!

Brighton   1   1
West Brom3   1
Leicester    3   0
West Ham   0   1
Everton   0   3
Burnley   0   1
Sheff U   1   3
Palace   0   1
Spurs   1   0
Liverpool   1   3

          10   14

The Burnley figure is a bit skewed as we'd still to play them twice.

However, and I think this will surprise you all. For us to double our points from the reverse fixtures over our final 10 games, we would need....4 points.

we drew against saints and Newcastle and lost the rest.
