That's what we have, give Klopp, Pep anyone else a 15 man squad and see how they whinge, cry and moan about it. Imagine Jose only having 15 players!

This is catching up on us now, the lack of depth in the squad,  we use the same 15 players week in and week out.

Obviously we can stay up but it's just got that little bit tougher.

Time to get behind Scott and the team over the remaining games.

I thought this as well. Looking at our bench recently and there are 5 defenders, none of which could come and change the game, If needs be

No disrespect to Ream or Hector but they weren't likely to get the nod last night. Wouldn't it have made sense to put a couple of the youth on the bench?

and here lies the problem, which is the the consequence of a scatter gun approach to recruitment.
I equate it to throwing a fistful of darts at a dartboard all at the same time and hoping some stick. This is due to the current part time absent D of F not paying enough attention to detail and being obsessed with stats. He does not spend enough time to research and gather the correct information from other humans, too busy looking at his other interests with his eye balls firmly stuck on a computer screen. His solution is to squeeze it all in a month prior to the commencement of the season if you get my drift.
But last night we had 9 subs which comprised of one goalkeeper six defenders and a partridge in a pear tree.
Leaving us with Mitro and RBL the only two players on the bench that potentially may win or save the game, leaving the other players on the bench redundant apart from Tete who should have started the game.
So we wonder why the players troop off the pitch coming in second.
So maybe it would not hurt to replace a couple of those redundant defenders with a couple of academy players who know exactly which direction the goal net is facing.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Can't agree with the above, we have depth it is quality strikers and wide men that we are missing. No point in bringing in more of the same, our need is strikers who can score goals and pacey wide men who are an improvement on present players.

This was my thought too.

Have Hec on the bench in case something happens to Andersen or Tosin, and replace Ream & Odoi with 2 of Carvalho/Stansfield/Jasper

Totally agree. I have read about complications with mixing COVID 'bubbles' mean we can't have u23's with first team but we really should be looking to give these youngsters experience and why not throw one in now and again for 10 mins? Especially a young striker. Ream, Hector and Odoi need to be thanked but moved on whatever division we are in next season as they are not going to move us forward.

I agree that it would have been better to have a young midfielder/attacker on the bench rather than 6 midfielders, even if they weren't going to play anyway. Parker rarely gave any minutes to Kebano and AK, so I doubt he would give a chance to the young players in a situation like this.

Also, not sure how the Covid bubbles work as Jules said, but a lot of other teams have youngsters on the bench so we could probably do it as well if we wanted.
