Cairney?

Cairney has been a class player for us over recent years and would be a useful option to have available in this long goal drought
From what we know it looks unlikely that we are going to see him playing again this season  and we have no doubt seen the best of him if not the last of him.

Not much good news about at the moment.

The Cairney being described here is the one who Slav surrounded with players to enable him to play. Stefjo and Kmac did the dirty work for him, Fredericks and Ayite used to make loads of room for him. If he has time and is not pressured he can find a pass, but we are no longer set up to give him the time he needs, he does not make space for himself, and the vast majority of his passes are sideways or backwards. I truly believe that his only good time was under Slav because we were set up for him to shine, that is no longer the case.

With due respect this is nonsense. Are you really suggesting that our current crop of midfielders are weaker than KMac, StefJo, Ayite and Fred? As to "the vast majority of his passes are sideways and backwards", well I can only wonder whether you ever checked his stats?

Blingo, I realise you will never agree with the majority who regard TC highly. However what I don't understand is why you can't simply enjoy the fact that this is something positive for most of us.  Understandably there is so much negativity on this forum right now, so when there is something or someone that brings a bit of positivity surely even you can appreciate that is better than endless gloom?  In that context can you not see that comments like "not fit to lace Dembele's boots" are just crass?

Mr Twig, Dembele is quite probably one of the best if not the best midfielder ever to pull on a Fulham shirt and has proved himself at premiership level, whereas TC has not. I have absolutely nothing against TC, but, to claim he is a "legend" is nowhere near correct. He's performed and well at championship level, but what has he achieved apart from that? Truth is not much. I'd love to see him come onto the pitch and prove me completely wrong, but I don't think he is quite up to prem level.
