Isn't it just a case of having the finances ? It helps to have a billionaire owner. I guess the council/Dept of Transport aren't as well off.

It's because nobody wants to take responsibility for it....tfl have neglected & misused it (to many buses at 1 time), Fulham & Hammersmith haven't properly maintained it..... wouldn't it be easier to dismantle it, build a new one that's got a 100+ year lifespan, and rebuild the old one down stream for cyclists & pedestrians..... Can't be rocket science

When our stand is finished perhaps the Chairman will consider a new bridge .

I was surprised the idea of a pedestrian bridge from the point where the Putney end and Riverside meet was not resurrected and included with the redevelopment. Planning and consultation might have crushed the idea of course but it seems if you stick a cycle path to any application these days the authorities dare not say No.

Obviously no stats, paperwork or surveillance footage on the last point. It just seems like it.
