Has the World gone completely mad!!!!
BRAZIL, with the second highest death rate from Covud on the planet with a Leader that thinks the virus is just a shortterm blip. Absolute madness.

I was just reading about this and have to agree with you.  The tournament was moved after Argentina was ruled out amid an increase in COVID-19 cases in the country
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

I smell the whiff of bullpoo and corruption in the air.

Surely with many of the players being based here, available stadia, relative success in combating the pandemic and our newly acquired global reach across the world the United Kingdom would have been a better option.

It's not crazy. Brazil is safer than Colombia where people are protesting the raising of taxes and being Peterloo'd by their government. Copa America in Brazil will be wonderful and there is no better country to host it in South America.

UK has had 1,873 deaths per million; while Brazil has had 2,164 deaths per million. UK is hardly a success.

Agree but death rates in the UK are falling far more quickly now and % of population vaccinated far higher than in Brazil. I would also add that if you accept that fewer Covid deaths are formally reported in Brazil (given poverty levels and a dysfunctional public sector) and therefore take the alternative measure of excess death rates, then the UK performance far outstrips Brazil.
