Re Denis... i often wondered whether he'd be better suited to dmf

I love the bloke, he loves our club (imo), but his strengths as a fullback are negated by his weaknesses as a defender.

Odoi committing a cardinal sin there of turning his back on the player with the ball with that Laird chance

The difference in Mitro compared to last year is quite incredible.

I wonder if something really bad happened between him and Parker.

Or could it be that it's harder to score in the Premier League ?

Even harder when the manager wasn’t picking him!

Ream at LB or switch to a back 3?

3-4-3 now I think, interested to see how we get on with a change in shape

I would like to see more of Wilson. Everything coming from Kebano´s wing.

Back 3 with BDR at left wingback looks like.

Going 5 at the back seems a strange decision

Modern way of playing with wing backs - it's a back 5 out of possession and back 3 when in possession, all about a quick transition when you get the ball back. Also means we go like for like against Swansea now

It depends on how you play those five

The change in formation is interrupting our fluency, no question.

I think we need to just go back to a back 4, or we'll be under the cosh the rest of the game

Theres nothing parkeresque or strange about going 5 ATB. Its either that or Tim Ream at left back.

Well of course, but that's a generic comment you can make about any formation? I note you also called it parkeresque but we don't have a FB on the bench because our best three are now injured so you can't put a CB at LB against wing backs because it would be carnage against us
