Spreadex puts sponsorship budget on Fulham in bid for Premier League return

July 27 – Fulham, who are looking to bounce back to the Premier League after relegation last, have signed UK financial trading and sports betting firm Spreadex as a principle partner for the next two seasons.

The Spreadex Trading logo will feature on all kits as well as on LED perimeter board advertising at the Craven Cottage stadium.

Spreadex offers sportsbook and sports spread betting, and has recently expanded its business into financial trading, including foreign exchange.

Jon Don-Carolis, sales director at Fuham, said: "We are all delighted to welcome Spreadex Trading on board as Principal Partner for the forthcoming campaign and look forward to working with the team to develop and strengthen our association during the term of the partnership."

Spreadex will work on a range of community and charity initiatives for the duration of the partnership, and will have player and head coach access, as well as a presence across Fulham's social media channels, website and CRM.

Spreadex CFO James Hallan said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Fulham Football Club for the next two seasons and feel privileged to now become a part of the Fulham family.

"This is a great club with a long history and tremendous reputation, and the deal signifies Spreadex's continued growth plans as a company.

"We look forward to working closely with our new partners and will be supporting Fulham both on and off the pitch as the team aims to return to the Premier League."

No value was given for the sponsorship.

Fulham sees proposal for Flamengo starlet rejected

Fulham FC is heading to the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League. Still, it appears as though The Cottagers want to take a new approach as they look to get back to England's top-tier league.

The English club wants to venture into the South American market for talent, and they recently made an offer for Flamengo forward Rodrigo Muniz.

However, it didn't take long for the Brazilian giant to analyze the proposal. O Dia reports that since it was a loan offer, the board declined the possibility of doing business and rejected the bid.

Fulham had offered €1 -million for a 12-month loan and a purchase option of €9-million. Furthermore, Fulham manager Marco Silva presented the project to Muniz and his representative, which caught their attention.

The English club was willing to make modifications to the initial offer, such as increasing the financial compensation to the loan and reducing the amount of the purchase option. Still, Flamengo did not advance in the conversations.

Fulham back in for Muniz

Fulham are not giving up on signing Flamengo striker Rodrigo Muniz and are preparing a second offer for the young forward, according to reports from Brazil.

The Whites saw their loan approach for the 20 year-old rejected by Flamengo over the weekend, with the Brazilian side preferring to negotiate a sale for one of their most precocious young talents. The Championship club – who would find a permanent deal difficult to finance due to the EFL's financial fair play regulations – are ready to return with a proposal that would add an obligation to buy at around £8.5m to the loan as new manager Marco Silva is very keen to bring Muniz to London.

Silva has held positive discussions with Muniz's representatives and the player is very excited by the prospect of a move to Fulham after the Portuguese head coach suggested that the youngster could follow in the footsteps of Richarlison, whom Silva successfully introduced to English football after signing him from Fluminense when he was in charge at Watford. Muniz, who helped Flamengo win the Brasileiro, the Supercopa (twice) and the Recopa since breaking into the first team last year, has struggled for game time since Renato Gaucho took charge earlier this month.

Muniz, who has scored five times in 24 games for Flamengo, has previously attracted interested from Genk, Atletico Madrid, Middlesbrough and Inter Milan. It remains to be seen whether the Rio giants will be tempted by Fulham's second offer – but the Londoners are clearly keen to conclude a deal with Silva seeking striking reinforcements before the start of the new season.

Fulham and Middlesbrough in transfer tussle for 20-y/o attacker

Both Fulham and Middlesbrough are interested in signing Flamengo striker Rodrigo Muniz this summer, as per various reports in Brazil.

In more recent times, O Dia are reporting that Fulham have had a bid rejected for the 20-year-old striker, with the Whites said to have placed a loan bid with a view to buying the player further down the line.

This is said to match the same sort of bid that was made by Middlesbrough for the forward, with Flamengo being said to be open to letting the player leave for pastures new this summer.

Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are also said to be keen on the frontman, however the European duo are said to prefer a permanent deal as opposed to a loan agreement.

Meanwhile it has now been reported that Fulham are preparing a second bid for the striker as they look to stay in the race for his services, whilst Boro are said to have held talks with the player's club on Monday in Lisbon in a bid to thrash out a deal.

Muniz currently has three years remaining on his contract with the Rio de Janeiro outfit and appears set to depart this summer.

The Verdict

Boro are certainly in need of a new striker this summer and it is clear from this transfer saga that they are casting their net particularly wide in search of new talent.

Muniz is clearly a player that would be signed with the future in mind, but after already finding the back of the net ion numerous occasions for Flamengo, he could be an instant hit at the Riverside Stadium.

The fact that Middlesbrough have supposedly held talks with the player recently will certainly help things for them, however it remains to be seen if they will miss out to a bigger club in the race for the youngster.

Loan moves with an option to buy are never simple and I still think we could see some more twists and turns along the way before we find out where Muniz will be playing his football next season.

Early deals help Fulham hit the ground running

It is no secret that since the Khans took over at Craven Cottage, Fulham's recruitment has been somewhat hit and miss. There have been gems – like the arrival of Aleksandar Mitrovic and the purchase of Stefan Johansen – but plenty of poor ones – where is Adil Chihi these days, for example? Perhaps the most alarming part of the approach was the way the Whites had to play catch up with a lot of deals being left until the last minute. A succession of managers have had to wait until the closure of the transfer window to figure out what their best side is and that could be the difference between staying up and going down.

The scattergun transfer policy has spread disquiet amongst the fanbase and director of football Tony Khan has copped plenty of flak for it. Marco Silva's arrival as Scott Parker's replacement seems to have shaken things up somewhat. The Portuguese head coach got his first two acquisitions in over the weekend and rather before obscure signings from continental divisions, they were two players with significant experience of English football. Paulo Gazzaniga has played in both the EFL and the Premier League, whilst Harry Wilson has real Championship pedigree.

The rumoured impending arrival of Matt Grimes, who is due to have a medical with Fulham next week, suggests that the Whites are targeting players who know what it takes to perform in the Championship. The Swansea skipper has been one of the division's most consistent midfielders in the last few years and a key part of the side that reached two play-offs under Steve Cooper. Should all go to plan, the arrival of these three players would end even more nous to a squad packed with Championship experience, including the likes of Tim Ream, Tom Cairney, Denis Odoi and Harrison Reed.

Whether this approach signifies a change in strategy or is a reaction to the tight financial fair play envelop that Fulham have to operate in at the moment, remains to be seen but there is no question that this campaign will be do or die for the club. Failing to secure an immediate return to the Premier League would undoubtedly be a financial disaster, almost certainly sparking a fire sale of the biggest names and probably making it difficult to compete in an unforgiving Championship. The stakes are certainly high – something Silva has acknowledged even as he demanded further signings in his Sunday interview.

There is no doubt that Fulham have the quality to be in the automatic promotion shake-up, as evidenced by the early bookmakers odds. They have squad that seems to have plausible alternatives in almost every position. The one area where the Whites still look a little light is up front having struggled to score goals last season. The hope is that a fit and firing Mitrovic will reproduce his outstanding Championship form having been mishandled by Scott Parker, but there is still a need for a capable back up. Jay Stansfield has had plenty of minutes in pre-season but the talented teenager remains raw at senor level. That's presumably why Silva has made such a play for young Flamengo forward, Rodrigo Muniz, as he seeks to repeat his success in bringing Brazilian talent to English football having nurtured Richarlison so superbly.

Ultimately, we'll only know how successful Fulham's summer recruitment has been when the serious stuff gets underway in August. The fixture computer appears to have given the Whites a winnable set of early games so Silva has the chance to build some early momentum for a change.

Fulham sign up blockchain telecoms network World Mobile as principal commercial partner on three-year-deal

Fulham have signed World Mobile, a telecoms network that uses blockchain technology, as their new principal commercial partner.

The three-year deal sees World Mobile replace bookmaker BetVictor as the club's main sponsor.

The agreement will see World Mobile appear on the shirts of the Fulham men's, women's and youth teams.

Fulham's men will be hoping to mount another promotion challenge in the coming season, having slipped out of the Premier League and into the Championship.

World Mobile is a global mobile telecommunications network that aims to reach people in remote areas that do not have internet access.

The company uses blockchain technology and has its own cryptocurrency for rewarding users who operate connection hubs for their community.

World Mobile chief executive Micky Watkins told City A.M.: "This deal is one of many in the pipeline that will make World Mobile a global name in our mission to connect the unconnected and bank the unbanked."

He added: "We are so excited to begin this partnership with Fulham FC. This partnership will help spread the word on our mission to connect Africa and beyond, giving everyone an opportunity to get involved."

All change at Fulham for new season
ulham chief executive Alistair Mackintosh said: "Fulham prides itself on its community-driven spirit. We support World Mobile's vision to improve connectivity in lesser developed areas."

Fulham will also begin the new season with a new manager in Marco Silva.

The former Everton, Watford and Hull City coach arrived in west London earlier this month to replace Scott Parker, who left by mutual consent and has since taken charge at Bournemouth.

Fulham's men are due to kick off the 2021-22 campaign against Middlesbrough at Craven Cottage on Sunday 8 August.

The women's team play in the London and South East Women's Regional Football League.

The end of the club's deal with BetVictor follows a trend of bookmakers exiting sports sponsorship.

Fulham Welcomes World Mobile As Principal Partner

Fulham FC is delighted to announce World Mobile as its new Official Principal Partner.

Fans will get their very first look at our new Home and Away kits – featuring World Mobile – when they are launched tomorrow, Wednesday 28th July.

World Mobile, the first mobile network built on renewable energy, the sharing economy and blockchain technology, partners the Club for three years, starting from this forthcoming 2021/22 season. The partnership will see the World Mobile logo feature on the front of shirts of the Men's, Women's and Academy U23 & U18 teams.

World Mobile aims to bridge the digital divide by 2030 and will connect the continents with the highest demand for WIFI, starting in Africa. So far, World Mobile has sponsored connectivity initiatives within several educational institutions and a smart village in Zanzibar, which previously had no internet access. Now, they are rolling out across Zanzibar, followed by Tanzania and Kenya.

Once the initial groundwork is laid down, the company will sell affordable network nodes to local business owners to own and run the network on their own. Once a user signs up for World Mobile WIFI services, they'll gain a decentralised digital ID, powered by Cardano's Atala Prism, which can be used to access digital banking and economic freedom.

Fulham FC, founded in 1879, is the oldest professional football club in London. It's charitable arm, the Fulham FC Foundation, offers an array of community programmes designed to improve social mobility, employability, health and wellness, education and social inclusion.

During the three-year agreement, World Mobile and Fulham FC will collaborate and create powerful content that helps with World Mobile's mission to connect the unconnected by sharing ownership of the network with its users.

"We are so excited to begin this partnership with Fulham FC," says Micky Watkins, CEO of World Mobile. "It's crucial to us that we share the same values as our partners, and we're confident that based on Fulham FC's history, we have a shared viewpoint. Fulham's Silva lining?

I can't say the appointment of Marco Silva did very much to excite me in the run up to the start of the new season. Being fairly indifferent as to whether Scott Parker stayed or went, it didn't feel like a natural step up or a desperately needed change in direction as it did when Slavisa Jokanovic took charge. Reluctantly though we always end up supporting the man in the dugout, no matter how many times your Watford supporting friends warn you of his snake like qualities and general lack of allegiance.

When appointing a manager in the Championship especially as a side favourite for promotion you need someone with longevity, someone not limited to being good enough to get you up but also capable of implementing a long term strategy aimed at ending this horrendous yo-yo life cycle we find ourselves stuck in. Questions around his loyalty definitely have to be factored in when considering his suitability for the club in its present state and our need for stability. At the same time if he were to stick around he isn't necessarily a manager naturally out of his depth in the Premier League albeit with a lot to prove.

When we were last promoted Parker was an unknown quantity and evidently fell into the bracket of being not quite good enough to transition the divisions. At the very least Marco Silva does feel like a name who few other clubs could have attracted to even consider taking a role in the Championship. He was a welcome addition to the regular names that feature on the managerial merry go round at this level. Seeing a shortlist with the likes of Pardew, Lampard, Allardyce and God forbid John Terry is enough to scare any of us into thinking Silva is a pretty decent option.

On the other hand the illusion of Marco Silva does not perhaps align with the reality of Marco Silva. Upon informing friends and colleagues of our newly appointed gaffer I have been told that they know him as "the man who got Watford promoted" or "the man who kept Hull up" both of which of course are completely inaccurate and untrue but go a long way to showing what some good PR and friends in the press can do for your image. I want to be more positive but it's hard to buy into someone based on a good 10 game spell at Watford and a few battling performances with a poor Hull team that ultimately wasn't enough to beat the drop.

It certainly seems like the feedback from previous players having worked under Silva are positive which is an encouraging sign. He has essentially adopted a squad that on the face of it even in its current state should be good enough to get out of the division so his man management skills will be best measured by his abilities to keep the likes of Mitrovic, Reed and Tosin engaged in the project and playing for him week in week out. Whether or not he is able to get a tune out of some of our more inconsistent performers and forgotten men of the club will be another indicator.

One of the more positive aspects of having appointed Silva for me is the fact he had previously transitioned from a director of football role into a managerial position during his time at Estoril and in turn may be a more experienced pair of hands than Parker or even Jokanovic in dealing with the internal bullpoo and transfer policy that seems to have dogged our club throughout the Khan era. You would at least hope that a man who knows that side of a football club would have probed Fulham on that aspect of the role prior to accepting the position in the first place.

What is for sure is that after three attempts at managing in England, Fulham has to be the last chance saloon (in this country at least) for Silva who has promised so much and delivered very little. It certainly feels like he has something to prove and we can only hope that he is the right man at the right time. I will freely hold my hands up and say I was completely unimpressed when we appointed Roy Hodgson back in 2007, another manager who had something to prove on these shores at the time so who's to say how this one will pan out.

Expectations have to be high from the start though as we simply cannot afford to be unsuccessful this season. While Parker was given time to build and we forgave him for his inexperience, Silva needs to hit the ground running which is why it is certainly encouraging to see some transfer activity happen now rather than the obligatory deadline day scramble we have been used to of late. The old adage goes that a manager needs previous experience of the Championship to be successful but Silva only has to look as far as his fellow countryman Nuno Espirito Santo at Wolves in 2017 to see that with a good squad that buys into your style of play anything is possible.

As the start of the campaign looms I am fully prepared to leave my scepticism at the turnstiles and blindly follow this man into battle. COYW!

Marcus Bettinelli is a free agent after being released by Fulham this summer; the 'keeper will have a medical on Tuesday before signing a two-year deal with Chelsea; 29-year-old will provide cover for Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli on a free transfer following his release by Fulham.

The 29-year-old is available after leaving Fulham following the expiration of his contract at the end of last season.

He will provide cover for Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga at Stamford Bridge and replaces Willy Caballero, who was released this summer.

Bettinelli spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Middlesbrough, making 42 appearances as they finished 10th in the Championship.

He is set to become Chelsea's first signing since they became European champions for a second time in May.

Chelsea will parade the Champions League trophy for the first time since being crowned European champions in May ahead of next month's friendly against London rivals Tottenham.

Report: Player was determined to succeed at Anfield, but Liverpool sold him anyway

The Express are reporting this morning that Harry Wilson was determined to succeed at Liverpool.

Wilson came through the youth academy at Anfield and wanted to make it big in the Premier League with Liverpool.

However, Liverpool and the winger came to a mutual agreement this summer that it was the right time for him to move on.

Fulham have signed the 24-year-old Wales international winger on a contract until the summer of 2026.

The Cottagers will reportedly pay Liverpool £12 million in transfer fee.

The former Premier League champions will have also a 15% sell-on clause.

Succeeding at Fulham

Wilson is 24 now, and it is hard to see how the winger could have succeeded at Liverpool in the coming years.

After all, the Wales international winger could not make a single appearance in the Premier League for the Reds.

Fulham will play in the Championship next season and will be determined to clinch back promotion to the Premier League.

Wilson has a new home now, and he could flourish at the Cottagers in the coming years and make a name for himself.

The winger could prove Liverpool wrong in the next two or three years and show them that they should have kept him.

Bordeaux lining up Robinson loan

Bordeaux have launched an ambitious bid to loan Fulham full back Antonee Robinson despite their financial difficulties, according to reports from France this afternoon.

The Ligue One side are keen to offer the American international a top flight opportunity after his impressive Premier League performances last season. The 23 year-old left back made 33 appearances in all competitions in his first year at Craven Cottage after signing from Wigan last summer but was unable to prevent Fulham from an immediate return to the Championship.

New manager Marco Silva is understood to be keen to keep Robinson at the club, despite rumoured interest from Wolves and Manchester City. Bordeaux's audacious attempt to take the former Everton trainee on loan is likely to be undermined by the fact that they will unable to match Robinson's Fulham wages, believed to be in excess of £40,000 a week.

Fulham prepare second bid for Rodrigo Muniz

Fulham are preparing a second bid in their efforts to bring Rodrigo Muniz to Craven Cottage this summer.

What's the talk?

That's according to a report by Brazilian media outlet O Dia, who claimed that after Flamengo's rejection of Tony Khan's initial €1m (£850k) season-long loan offer with a €9m (£7.7m) option to buy clause, the Cottagers are now preparing a second bid for the centre-forward, believed to be a €1m (£850k) season-long loan offer with an €8m (£7m) obligation to buy clause.

The report added that Fulham cannot sign the player on a permanent basis this summer due to FFP regulations, as well as claiming that Muniz himself is keen on the idea of a switch to the Championship club.

Finally, it is reported that Marco Silva has held meetings with Muniz's representatives regarding a deal, with the 44-year-old said to have informed the Brazilian that he wishes to bring him to England in order to replicate his signing of Richarlison with Everton.

Imagine him & Mitro

Considering the sheer amount of potential Muniz appears to possess, it would undeniably be a rather large coup for Fulham if they manage to land the 20-year-old – who has also been linked with a move to Athletico Madrid this summer – ahead of next season.

Indeed, over his nine Brazilian Serie A appearances for Flamengo so far this term – only three of which have come as starts – the £2.7m-rated youngster has scored three goals, registered one assist and created two big chances for his teammates, taking 2.4 shots and making 0.6 key passes per game (Sofascore).

These returns have seen the player Mauricio Souza claimed has "a lot of area presence" earn an average SofaScore match rating of 7.16, ranking him as the club's joint eighth-best performer in the Brazilian top flight.

Souza's compliments did not stop there, with Flamengo's assistant manager also stating his belief that the 20-year-old striker is a player who "disturbs the defenders," something which is also very much a trait of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Indeed, the thought of Muniz partnering Mitrovic in the Championship next season should be something of a mouthwatering prospect for Fulham fans, with the potential of goal returns from the two being rather significant – the Serbian plundered 26 goals in his most recent campaign at that level.

As such, it would seem highly advisable for Khan to do all he can to secure the signing of the youngster as quickly as possible, in order to allow him adequate scope to bed into Silva's team ahead of their season opener against Middlesbrough in a little under two weeks' time.

Spreadex nets Fulham FC shirt sponsorship

Fulham FC has signed up financial trading and sports betting firm Spreadex as a principal partner of the EFL Championship club for the next two seasons.

The Spreadex Trading logo will become a regular feature at Craven Cottage, including on the back of all kits worn by the players.

Fulham's 2020/21 kits will be revealed later this week ahead of Saturday's pre-season friendly against Charlton, while Spreadex will work closely with the West London club on a range of community and charity initiatives for the duration of the partnership.

Jon Don-Carolis, Sales Director at Fulham FC, said: "We are all delighted to welcome Spreadex Trading on board as Principal Partner for the forthcoming campaign and look forward to working with the team to develop and strengthen our association during the term of the partnership."

The partnership also includes rights such as LED perimeter board advertising and player and head coach access, as well as a presence across Fulham's social media channels, website and CRM.

ources: Fulham ace eager to learn Marco Silva's plans for him after Harry Wilson arrival

Bobby Decordova Reid remains content at Fulham despite the arrival of Harry Wilson and the potential extra competition for places, though he is eager to see just how he fits in under Marco Silva and his approach in the coming weeks, Football League World understands.

At the end of June, this site revealed exclusively that Reid wanted to remain at Craven Cottage for the coming Sky Bet Championship season despite a handful of enquiries being fielded by Fulham over his potential availability for a transfer move.

Of course, since then, we have seen Scott Parker leave the club and Marco Silva arrive, with the Portuguese obviously having his own preferences for personnel and system heading into the new campaign.

Harry Wilson will surely expect to start given his recent permanent arrival from Liverpool, too, and Football League World understands that Reid remains content at the club but does want assurances from Silva in the coming weeks over just how he'll be involved this coming campaign.

Reid has played both centrally and out wide for Fulham in the past, whilst Wilson is primarily a wider player, so if Silva perhaps sees the two vying for the same spot in his side, there is an obvious conflict.

The ex-Bristol City man remains happy at the club, though, and is eager to see where he fits in under Silva at SW6 with the likes of Stefan Johansen freeing up a central role in the squad after his move to QPR at the weekend.

The lowdown on Crystal Palace transfer target Joachim Andersen

Crystal Palace are poised to make their most significant acquisition of Patrick Vieira's rebuild.

Joachim Andersen is set to sign a five-year deal with the South Londoners reportedly set to agree a deal costing around £20 million.

Added to the defensive recruitment of Marc Guehi, who joined on a long-term basis from London rivals Chelsea, Andersen will supplement Vieira's squad after Scott Dann, Gary Cahill and Mamadou Sakho left the club.

While Andersen is Lyon's player, his loan spell at Fulham last season was where the Danish centre back imposed himself and blossomed in a team that slumped to an early relegation.

ANDERSEN'S BACKGROUND
Despite starting his youth career in his native Denmark, Andersen made a name for himself in professional football with FC Twente.

His impressive rise in Holland led to a move to Sampdoria.

In his second season in the Serie A, Andersen, at the age of just 22, established himself – in a league that celebrates the art of defending – as one of the best in his position.

His imperious performances in Italy led to Lyon shelling out a then club record of an initial €24 million that could have eventually risen to €30 million.

While Andersen failed to settle in France, his spell in the Premier League kickstarted his upward trajectory back into life.

At the heart of Fulham's defence, Andersen won 99 aerial battles, 150 clearances, and had a tackle success rate of 58 per cent. And despite being a loan player, Scott Parker entrusted Andersen with the captain's armband just four games into his spell at Craven Cottage.

Andersen has been capped by his country from U16 level through to the national side and was selected for the Denmark team that made it to the semi-finals of Euro 2020.

WHY ANDERSEN MAKES SENSE
The Eagles are only two games into their revolution, but there is already a clear and distinct pattern forming.

Vieira's attacking phase of play begins with the centre-backs and one deep-lying midfielder acting in the 'quarterback' role, who looks to pick out one of the attacking full-backs or pass between the opposition lines.

The possession-based game is well suited to Andersen. The 25-year-old, who was pinpointed as a catalyst for Fulham's belief that they could survive in the top-flight, showcased his calmness, assuredness and composure when playing out from the back – making the most passes, 1,958, in the league for Fulham last season.

The 4-3-3 appears to be the formation of choice heading into the season, but Vieira has also deployed the 5-2-3 formation in the past. Therefore, signing Andersen, who will join James Tomkins, Martin Kelly, Cheikhou Kouyate and Guehi in defence, allows the French head coach options at his disposal.

Should Andersen partner Guehi, the pair could prove the perfect counterbalance to each other. While both are accomplished with the ball at their feet, Guehi can cover Andersen in terms of pace and recovery speed, while Andersen, who stands at a towering 6ft 4, is more dominant in the air than Guehi.

With the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United mooted as potential destinations for Andersen this summer, Palace's capture of the Danish centre-back has been seen as a serious coup.

WHAT IS LEFT FOR PALACE TO DO THIS WINDOW?
Andersen's rumoured transfer fee could see him become the third most expensive signing made in Palace's history, but the summer business is still not over for Patrick Vieira's side.

The Eagles still have both domestic loans available, with Chelsea's Conor Gallagher the club's primary target. The midfielder, who spent last season on loan with West Bromwich Albion, might take a bit longer to secure due to his desire to impress Thomas Tuchel during pre-season.

Despite playing both pre-season friendlies against Walsall and Ipswich Town, the club are yet to announce whether Nathaniel Clyne has signed a new deal. With the injury to Nathan Ferguson, the club would be wise to re-sign Clyne or dive into the market for another right-back to support Joel Ward.

With the mass exodus of players at the beginning of the month, Palace still need several first-team bodies. It's also widely reported that Palace will look to bring in a forward who can play across the front three.

Fulham set to improve bid for Brazilian striker – Marco Silva insisting on signing

Fulham have not given up on the signing of Flamengo striker Rodrigo Muniz, according to reports from Brazil.

Newspaper O Dia now comes up to say that at Marco Silva's request, the Whites will make a new offer to sign the 20-year-old.

Fulham had already tried to sign the player with a bid for a loan deal with an option to buy. The club wanted to spend €1m on the temporary spell and then have the chance to sign him permanently in a €9m operation.

Even though it was claimed that the player liked the project, Flamengo turned down the offer, as they wanted a simple sale.

Now, according to O Dia, Fulham will try to convince Flamengo by offering a deal where the buying clause will be triggered by performance goals. Those objectives will be pretty 'accessible'.

The report says the offer wasn't put on paper so far, and should be of €1m for the loan spell plus €8m for the purchase. It's claimed that the Whites are insisting on that kind of operation just so they can dribble Financial Fair Play.

It's claimed that Al Nasr already have an agreement with Muniz's agents, but Fulham's project 'pleases the player more' by the way the London side showed their interest. Marco Silva's meeting with his entourage is once again highlighted.

In other Fulham news, it looks like the Craven Cottagge side could soon lose Antonee Robinson. RMC Sport (via GFNF) reports today that French side Bordeaux are looking to sign the defender on loan with an option to buy.

Dijon targeting Le Marchand deal

Dijon are making a concerted attempt to sign Fulham defender Maxime Le Marchand, according to French press reports this afternoon.

Regional daily newspaper Le Bien Public claims that the Owls are extremely interested in adding Le Marchand, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Royal Antwerp, to their backline and have held initial discussions with Fulham. The 31 year-old defender has made 48 appearances for Fulham since moving to Craven Cottage in the summer of 2018 and has another remaining on his current contract.

Dijon, who took Aboubakar Kamara on loan last season, were relegated from Ligue 1 last term and made a disappointing start to their Ligue 2 campaign on Monday night, losing 3-1 to Sochaux.
