Yesterday was spent in Sussex with a Dad whose concentration levels were not quite what they were...however,mention the aforementioned  J.G. Taylor and normal service was once again resumed....Dad was re-energised and eulogised over a man who he had witnessed give everything he had to give on every occasion he put on the shirt of Fulham FC.

Tonights song in memory of the great man is

'There is a light that never goes out out'

We are the whites
We are the whites

I know, TB, that Mr Peabody will agree with me that Jim Taylor was possibly the best centre half this club has known.
Jim retired in 1952 so I didn't see as much of him as I would have liked, but what I do remember is a wonderful player who was in England's 1950 World Cup Squad even though he didn't play.
The fact that your dad still fondly remembers him is testament to one of Fulham's finest.
