It's a long old season & the league table is pretty meaningless until the January transfers are finished - we dominated 90% of today's game but didn't put our chances away....... it'll be 2 step's forward & 1 step back for a while, as the team has to fully gel..... Muniz has only played about 40 minute's of first team football & some of the first team starter's haven't even kicked a ball yet...... we'll achieve promotion this season....but it's never easy

A sensible and rational post. 0001.jpeg

Absolutely agree, hence some of us spent a fair few posts over the last few weeks trying to rein in the rampant triumphalist tone of some of our more impressionable collegues when we were, apparently, invincible. It is going to be a long season, and any talk of walking it was always going to blow up in our faces. Hopefully none of the team have been reading that nonsense and started to believe it. Blackpool and Reading ought to blow all complacency away. We can win this division, and it might even be possible to rival Tigana's 101 points, but it will only happen through an awful lot of hard work and a fair degree of good luck, or at least by avoiding too much bad luck. Onwards and upwards, as they say.
Any fool can criticise, condemn and complain, and most fools do.

If we were going to get beaten by teams like Blackpool and Reading, and how dare they have the audacity to enter the same field of play as Fulham and score more goals than us, don't they realise we are Royalty.
Then I am pleased it's now, so complacency and smugness can be wiped off the faces of the naive and the arrogant the simpletons and the not so bright. Plus it should ensure the team and manager are more focused on each match as it comes, if they weren't already.
In future matches we will play a lot worse than yesterday and win.
Nevertheless you have to respect all opponents but at the same time make them respect us.
No team is going come and lay down and let us walk all over them, they know we have weaknesses and they will exploit them with plenty of effort and commitment.
To many of them we are a big scalp and will target and come after us and it won't get any easier. If we start losing key players through injury it will be that much harder. It is no good being top of the Division now if we are not top in May.
We may even end up battling for a top six place, and the more arrogant we seem the more determined others will want to turn us over. Enjoy the ride but show grace and dignity in Victory and defeat.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Good post.
Generally played OK.  Finishing should have been better and simple straight forward passes seemed to go astray. In a fully fit team, with Reed, cavalho and possibly Cairney back we'll convert more of our intent, possession and chances into wins.

I sense a certain amount of anxiety in the players, to keep up to the marker they've laid down for themselves with some impressive football and results, and the all expectations of pundits and fans, with such a good squad.

Also, our opponents are certainly not going to lie down before us, and we see  how good their players are, and thus the quality right through the Champ, with some quality goals scored against us.

WE have played  well in the games we've lost, but maybe not quite putting our passes and together in the way we can, and  some bad luck, and injury disruption, though we're lucky that we have  quality to   bring in as replacements in all positions.

Obviously, no way we are going to walk this division, but we are playing well, and just need to keep it up, with the fans keeping right behind manager and team, and results will fall for us.

Well, regardless of the amount of possession (we certainly saw our fill of that last couple seasons) 'finishing' is still part of the game, and if we have no quality product or finishing at the end of all that possession the result is usually disappointing.

If we fail to get 9 points from next 3 games I feel like we are screwed

Our margins for making mistakes are very small.
