Villarreal eyeing Mitrovic…

No chance hahaha who comes up with this stuff. He would never leave, and Villarreal couldn't afford him.

Why do people believe what they read from these two a penny websites. They are no different from you and me and just make up stories to get attention.

Mitro who scores goals regularly for his international side as well as Fulham is valued at £16 million according to them. Anyone with half a brain cell would know that if there was any truth in the story the valuation would be close to £40m.  Just look at what Man Utd paid for absolute crap players.

Juventus Identify Mitrovic as Vlahovic Alternative

Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Bianconeri have shown a lot of interest in Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic but there is a fair chance they could miss out on his signature. In case that happens, Juve will try to sign his national team colleague Mitrovic, as claimed by Football League World. Villarreal are interested in the 27-year-old as well.

Currently valued at €16m according to Transfermarkt, Mitrovic has been performing brilliantly for Fulham in the Championship, scoring 21 goals while providing five assists in 18 appearances across all competitions so far. He also scored the last-gasp winner that booked Serbia's place in next year's World Cup, against all odds.

Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus are missing a lethal goal-scorer and Vlahovic would be a massive addition to their squad. However, there is a good chance the Bianconeri could miss out on him due to Fiorentina's asking price.

Mitrovic is a good scorer but his recent performances in top-flight football has been far from convincing. However, that doesn't guarantee that he will not do well in Serie A.

The uncertainty here is the club's FFP position. Without that there is no chance of a sale, but its possible that FFP could force the club's hand. I hope not (and doubt it).

All that's needed is a bit of creative accountancy - put half the team down as a snag on the new stand

What's fair value for mitro? 50m given his age (peak of powers and goal record domestically and internationally), his importance to us and contract length?

what is making you say that ? Don't wish to come over as rude or disrespectful but surely this issue would have been considered in the summer.
Promotion is worth 160m to us from what I have read - of course we need to spend a significant sum to be competitive but you are surely talking really big numbers to tempt the club and Mitro to sever the relationship- we need him here to secure our promotion and I do believe with the right manager and system he will score goals for us in the Premiership. Parker's style didn't suit him - he didn't play to his strengths. Silvas approach is very different and you can see that he is committed to developing him as a player outside the box. Some of his assists have been terrific- he played a major part in the second and third goal on Saturday as well as scoring the first for example. No sale unless they are offering 100M and Mitro 250k a week in my view.

Currently valued at €16m according to Transfermarkt

So this is why the made up stories keep throwing around the €16 million price tag. No way that we'd accept anything close to that, especially given how he has been performing recently.

Thanks Villarreal for the best laugh of the day!!   064.gif

Is there a scenario or price that makes Fulham ponder a Mitro sale?

If he fancies it, then there isn't much the club can do about it.

Can't see him fancying it - he loves us
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

The Villareal rumour looks pretty fanciful. I can't see Mitrovic wanting to go there and Villareal don't spend the money required to buy him. The Juventus rumour is more worrying. A move to one of the top clubs in Europe in one of the finest cities might excite any player.

Any bid would have to be huge to interest FFC but everyone has a price. The most important person is Mitrovic. If he wants to stay where he is then there's little or no chance of his leaving. The difficulty would arise if the chance of playing in Turin is too tempting.

Let's make sure tomorrow that he realises how much we all appreciate him.

Didn't we turn down an offer of €50m for Mitro from a Chinese club 2 years ago?

We have proved we are not a selling club and selling the Championship's best and, subject to avoiding injury, soon-to-be record breaking striker would be footballing suicide given the PL riches that await if we are promoted.
