That is why Ronaldo skins it for me if I had to choose a true, genuine GOAT. Ronaldo lacks the natural ability (relative to Messi only) but yet his dedication, drive, and passion has led him to surpass the Argentine.

He isnt the only one that has been guilty of that, so i wont hold that overly against him, we see it week in week out in the prem and to a very slightly lesser degree the championship as well

I'm in the Ronaldo camp. Just. But what I really like is how, despite their protestations to the contrary, the evident competition between them has continually spurred each onto new heights. That last run straight down the pitch hoping to get his hatrick even whilst being subbed for being slightly injured says it all about Ronaldo as a player a dedicated player. In my opinion because he has played in some of the most highly competitive leagues in the world, and in Spain, he is the GOAT. Messi played in a three horse league and then a one horse league, although for sheer skill he wins that award.
