Statistics can be boring or interesting depending on your viewpoint, and can always be questioned. But on the basis of analysis of FFC stats I did during lockdown last year and updated since then, the goal scored today by Elijah Anuoluwapo Oluwaferanmi Oluwatomi Oluwalana Ayomikulehin Adebayo, an ex FFC player, is the 7,000th we have conceded in league and all cup competitions since we joined the Football League in 1907.

I was around in the 80's, so I reckon I, probably,  saw most of them.

It's a good call. Close to 800 goals were conceded by FFC in league and cup from the 1979/80 season to the 1989/90 season. So around 11% of total goals conceded by Fulham were in those seasons. We are in our 104th season in the league (close to 103.5 seasons completed), so 7000 goals conceded in League and Cup means an average of somewhere around 67 goals conceded per season. So the 80s was an above average decade for goals conceded.
