Brighton hero Anthony Knockaert joins in celebrations after Chelsea draw

Former Brighton and Hove Albion fan favourite was at the Chelsea match and was sang to by happy fans

ANTHONY Knockaert was in part of the celebrations with Albion fans after the team's draw against Chelsea.

The midfielder was seen in the stands during the game in which Danny Welbeck rescued a point late on with a brilliant header to cancel out Romelu Luakaku's first-half goal.

After the game fans were jubilant with the result and celebrated with the club's former midfielder.

A video was taken on Knockaert being serenaded by Albion fans outside of Chelsea's stadium Stamford Bridge.

Fans can be heard singing "We've got Knockaert, Anthony Knockaert I just don't think you understand.

"He only cost a mil. He's better than Ozil.

"We've got Anthony Knockaert."

Albion fan Mike King told The Argus: "It's great seeing former players like Knocky in the stands at Brighton games.

"I know he tries to get to any games he can when the Albion play in London and it's always special to see him there.

"The fans chanting his name makes for a special sight, and his reciprocation shows an affection that will always be there between him and the fans."

The French winger joined Albion in 2016 from Belgian side Standard Liège on a three-year deal and became a fan favourite.

The 30-year-old made 127 league appearances for the club and scored 25 goals, including a memorable strike against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

West Ham keen to sign £10 million rated Tosin Adarabioyo from London rivals in January

West Ham are keen to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham in January according to claims from club insider ExWHUemployee.

Hammers boss David Moyes will be a busy man in the January transfer window.

West Ham's need for a top-class centre-back has been well-documented already.

Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma are both out with long-term injuries and the Hammers' form has really suffered during the duo's absence.

Craig Dawson and Issa Diop have filled in admirably but neither of them are in the same league as the Frenchman and Italian.

And it seems as though Moyes has his eye on someone to help address that particular issue.

West Ham eyeing January Tosin Adarabioyo swoop
ExWHUemployee claimed that the 24-year-old Fulham defender is firmly on the Hammers' radar ahead of the January transfer window, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast.

The former Manchester City man has established himself as a top-class defender over the past couple of years and has been a shining light for Fulham in the Championship this season.

In 19 league outings for Fulham this season, Adarabioyo has bagged one goal and averaged 1.2 tackles, 1.7 interceptions and 3.7 clearances per game. He also won an average of 2.8 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).

The 24-year-old is very good with the ball at his feet as well. He has made 74.2 passes per match and has recorded an 86.2% completion rate (Who Scored).

The young defender is clearly very talented. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola raved about the centre-back three years ago, when speaking to the Daily Mail, suggesting that he has 'all the quality'.

Adarabioyo could be available for £10 million in January (Daily Mail). That seems like outstanding value to us.

At 24, the Fulham centre-back has plenty of years left ahead of him to improve further still. At the same time though, he's now raw in any way whatsoever and is far more advanced than Issa Diop.

And we think that the Fulham centre-back would be a fine addition for West Ham in the January transfer window.

West Ham looking at Fulham's Antonee Robinson
West Ham are eyeing up a move for Fulham full-back Antonee Robinson, reports ExWHUemployee.

Robinson, 24, has featured 19 times in the Championship for Fulham this season, who currently sit in 2nd-place of the table.

The American left-back joined the club from Wigan Athletic following their Championship relegation in 2020 and played 28 times in the Premier League last time round, attracting interest from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Now though, ExWHUemployee has revealed that the Hammers are looking into a move for Robinson, but claims that David Moyes' side would prefer a move next summer.

Mixed reviews...
Robinson is a versatile left-back. He's one blessed with a lot of pace and a lot of forward momentum but he's received mixed reviews from Fulham fans all season.

He's often been called out for some of his defensive woes with Fulham fans having described him as a 'liability'.

Nevertheless, he's a modern full-back and on his day, one of the best in the division and so its understandable why West Ham are looking into a mover for the USA international.

Can Fulham afford to lose Robinson?
Fulham boss Marcos Silva has been blessed with squad depth this season and should Robinson depart then he'll have another commendable left-back to select in Joe Bryan.

After that, Silva doesn't really have anymore options on the left and so Robinson would likely have to be replaced should he be sold off next summer.

Up next for Fulham is a trip to Swansea City in the New Year – a win could see them return to the top of the Championship table.

Swansea City v Fulham postponed as hosts report 'considerable number' of Covid cases

Swansea last played a competitive match on December 11 against Nottingham Forest

Swansea City's home clash with Fulham has been postponed with cases of Covid-19 still in the hosts' camp.

The game, which was set to take place on Monday at 3pm at the Swansea.com Stadium, is the third straight Swans fixture that has been cancelled, with ties against Millwall on Boxing Day and Luton Town on December 29 also called off.

Swans head coach Russell Martin said last week that the squad had two positive Covid cases but additional ones were found in the build-up to the fixture against The Hatters.

Swansea were last in action on December 11, the 4-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest in SA1.

Their next game is now set to be the FA Cup third-round match against Southampton on Saturday, January 8, meaning it has been almost a month since they kicked a ball in anger.

The club said in a statement: "Swansea City's Championship fixture against Fulham has been postponed.

"The game had been due to take place on Monday, January 3 at 3pm at the Swansea.com Stadium.

"This is due to a considerable number of positive COVID-19 cases within the playing squad.

"The club has worked hard to try and ensure it would be able to fulfil the fixture, however, the amount of positive cases means the club do not have a sufficient amount of players available for selection."

Covid-19: Swansea City v Fulham off because of cases in home camp

Swansea City's home Championship game with Fulham on 3 January has been postponed because of Covid-19 cases in the Swans' squad.

It is the fourth successive Swansea fixture to be postponed.

Their games at Queens Park Rangers and Millwall were postponed due to cases at the opposing clubs, while the home clash with Luton Town was called off due to cases in Russell Martin's squad.

Swansea last played on 11 December.

In a statement, Swansea said they "worked hard" to try to fulfil the Fulham fixture, but "a considerable number" of cases meant they did not have a sufficient number of players available for selection.

Head coach Martin has previously said his players and staff have a "freedom of choice" over whether to be vaccinated or not.

But he did say a "huge number of players have had both jabs".

The Fulham postponement means Swansea will go at least 28 days without playing a game. Their next fixture is an FA Cup tie against Southampton on 8 January.

Meanwhile Swansea's game at QPR has been re-arranged for Tuesday, 25 January (19.45 GMT).

Swansea informed the EFL is that sufficient?

Dunstable Fulham

Swansea were always going to call it off. Don't want to play home games with no fans - don't blame them to be honest. I bet they won't announce a new fixture date until there is confirmation that fans will be allowed into their stadium.

Surprised the play/postpone decision is in their hands when other clubs are involved. I always thought that to postpone a game because of a high number of injuries was a decision made by authorities outside of the club.
