It has fell through,I would have thought with 6months on his contract and on "TONYS" wages,Swansea won't be able to compete, your not going to take a drop in wages ,you might as well weight to the summer, nochy is similar but has 2 years more, unless we pay part of their wages which is as I have said before not sustainable at our level.

A big problem, highly paid players are going to sit out their contract. I guess all we can do is loan them out and partly pay their wages but that means we are losing out partly on wages but also on a transfer fee.

Just shows what a balls up it was to give them those highly paid contacts.
Other recruitment teams pick up equally good players for less money on far less wages.

Never got a good enough look in, Cyrus is one hell of a player in my book, in terms of professionalism, energy, and dedication. Wish it worked out... and hope he can jump start what remains of his career at Swansea!
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

Agree with this. Still can't understand how Odoi got in ahead of him when Tete was injured.

Cyrus was purchased as a replacement for Ryan Fredericks and yet he is nothing like our former right back who gave everything Jokanovic asked for in his last months with us, as he had done before deciding to move elsewhere.

Christie is a reasonable Championship performer, perhaps as a right sided midfielder than full back, but was not a good fit for the job he was purchased by FFC for.   That wasn't and isn't his fault but obviously now shackles his ability to find a better fit employer and maintain his wages.   Having watched him play for Ireland as a better fit to the task he was asked to perform I rate him as a competent performer rather than anything outstanding.   I don't think his time with FFC fairly reflects his potential ability so much as expectations but the four coaches he has worked for appear to have agreed upon his place in the pecking order.

Perhaps Cyrus will be remembered for being one of the nicest people to ever play for Fulham. Unfortunately his ability on the field didn't match his good guy nature off it. Hope he gets a move somewhere decent and finishes his career on a high. He deserves it.

Regarding some of the points made, the problem is the DOF has given very high wages for average Professionals.
If you where asked to take shall we say a 40% cut in earnings for the hassle of moving clubs, with all the settling in issues that would follow, would you?
That is why the likes of Christie,Fabri,Knockaert, Kongolo and others will stay until their contracts expire.
Will the DOF learn from this?
Maybe a UK based DOF would help.

Good luck to him. A good man, I hope this will lead to better footballing times for him.
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

Good luck to Cyrus hope it works out. On topic of Fredericks, noticed he is out of contract at end of season and is not playing much for WHU. Would really suit our style and would be good to have him back in my opinion, even though Tete and Odoi are decent, a pacy full back like Fredericks is always a good option.

I don't think he would want to come back tbh.  He was very keen to leave!

Fulham incoming then? who we getting
Wonder if we need one or two more gone first. I don't know who is registered to play in our 25, but I don't think Cyrus was one of them.

I don't think there is much in it between him and Odoi as a right back. Odoi was more versatile though and also an even bigger character
...If we had the two best left backs in the division competing against each other, we had the two nicest right backs competing for second place behind Kenny Tete
