Robinson gets assist as USA thump Panama

Fulham full back Antonee Robinson created one of the goals as the United States hammered Panama 5-1 overnight to all but secure a spot at this winter's World Cup finals in Qatar.

A Christian Pulisic hat trick means that only a six-goal defeat in the final group group against Costa Rica on Wednesday could deny the USA automatic qualification. Robinson created the hosts' second goal in Orlando, whipping in a teasing cross from the left that was emphatically headed home by Paul Arriola.

Comment: 3 transfer alternatives Fulham should consider instead of Burnley's Nick Pope

Fulham have been linked with a move for Burnley's England international goalkeeper Nick Pope ahead of the summer.

According to The Sun, the Cottagers are sizing up the 29-year-old as a potential target as Marco Silva bids to prepare his Fulham side for a return to the Premier League.

However, it would be worth looking at some alternatives too. Here are three options they should consider:

Alphonse Areola – PSG (on loan at West Ham)
The Frenchman became a popular figure among Fulham fans for his performances while on loan at the Cottage last season, impressing amid their relegation back to the Championship.

Areola is on loan at West Ham and the club hold the option to make the move permanent, but he has seen limited game time this season, mainly serving as Lukasz Fabianksi's back-up.

The 'keeper's deal with parent club PSG expires in 2023, so the door could open for him to make a move ahead of next season.

Sam Johnstone – West Brom
When the chance arises to sign an international-level 'keeper for nothing, it'd be silly not to at least look at a swoop.

Johnstone's deal with West Brom runs out at the end of this season and it seems a move away is on the cards, so Fulham should look to offer him a route back to the Premier League. The 29-year-old thoroughly impressed in the Premier League during the 2020/21 campaign and although his performances have faltered at times, Johnstone has still managed 14 clean sheets in 33 games this season.

Predrag Rajkovic – Stade Reims
Rajkovic would be a more left-field option, but there is no doubt about his credentials as a goalkeeper. After starring for Maccabi Tel Aviv and Red Star Belgrade, Rajokovic joined Ligue 1 side Stade Reims in 2019, and he has kept 36 clean sheets in 98 games since.

The 26-time Serbian international is a brilliant shot-stopper and is a decent passer of the ball, averaging 5.6 long balls completed and 12 short passes completed per 90. Not only that, sees his deal expire at the end of next season, so Fulham may want to keep a close eye on his situation.

Comment: 3 attacking midfielders Fulham should look at this summer amid Fabio Carvalho development

Fulham's Fabio Carvalho looks to be heading for the exit door this summer, with Liverpool reportedly reaching an agreement in principle for the player.

It emerged from Football Insider on Monday morning that the Anfield outfit had reached an 'agreement in principle' to sign Carvalho from Fulham in the summer.

Amid the reported development, we take a look at three attacking midfielders the Cottagers should look at to replace the 19-year-old this summer...

Christopher Scott – FC Bayern Munich II
If Fulham want to recruit a young attacking midfielder to replace Carvalho, German starlet Scott could be an intriguing option.

Able to feature anywhere on the left-hand side as well as in the number 10 role, the 19-year-old sees his contract expire at the end of the season and may be a shrewd acquisition.

Similar to Carvalho, Scott is a threat in front of goal. The attacker has six goals and two assists in 13 games this season and has already played twice for Bayern's senior side. Before heading to the Allianz Arena, Scott scored 23 goals in 46 games for Bayer Leverkusen's U17s.

Fabio Vieira – PC Porto
While a swoop for the aforementioned Scott would be shrewd, FC Porto's Vieira would be a marquee signing.

The 21-year-old has managed five goals and 13 assists in 32 games this season. He is already a regular for the Portuguese giants, playing 69 times since coming through their youth ranks. Portugal U21's captain Vieira looks to be a real star for the future and if Fulham are ready to splash the cash again, he would be a great bit of business providing they make an expected return to the Premier League.

Guus Til – Spartak Moscow (on loan at Feyenoord Rotterdam)
Few attacking midfielders can say they've scored more than Til this season.

The 24-year-old has netted 20 goals in 40 games for loan club Feyenoord, also contributing with four assists. Currently on loan from Russian side Spartak Moscow, the Dutchman has been a big hit in the Eredivisie this season and has represented his country four times since making his debut in 2018.

Til could be another intriguing option for Fulham as they prepare for life without Carvalho.

Internationals: Two Assists For Jedi

Antonee Robinson set up two goals as the United States all but secured their World Cup spot with a 5-1 win over Panama on Sunday.

The Fulham left-back's first came midway through the first half when his exquisite floated cross was guided in by Paul Arriola.

He then assisted the USMNT's final goal of the evening following good combination work with former White Luca de la Torre, before teeing up Christian Pulisic for his hat-trick goal.

And while the victory does not mathematically confirm their place in Qatar, they would need to lose by six or more goals to Costa Rica on Wednesday to miss out on automatic qualification.

On Friday, Jean Michaël Seri played the entirety of the Ivory Coast's hard-fought defeat by France in Marseille.

The visitors took the lead in the friendly clash through Arsenal's Nicholas Pepe, but Olivier Giroud soon equalised, before highly rated midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni struck the winner in the third minute of stoppage time.

Marek Rodák also got 90 minutes under his belt, and had looked set for a clean sheet away to Norway, until quickfire goals from Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard condemned Slovakia to a 2-0 defeat.

At Under-23 level, Tyrese Francois was part of the Australia group who travelled to Holland for fixtures against Jong FC Utrecht and Netherlands Under-19s, losing the first 1-0 before drawing 2-2 in their second match.

In qualifying for the Under-21 European Championships, Fabio Carvalho made his Portugal debut against Iceland.

Portugal had by far the better of the game but were left frustrated with a 1-1 draw. Carvalho played 80 minutes.

Elsewhere, Sylvester Jasper and Adrion Pajaziti both started in their goalless draws for Bulgaria and Kosovo, respectively.

Liverpool have three 'agents' in place to complete Fabio Carvalho signing

Liverpool were unable to sign Fabio Carvalho from Fulham in January and clubs such as Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid have since been linked.

The euphoria of Luis Diaz's shock arrival is certainly showing no signs of relenting.

When news emerged that Liverpool were set to sign the winger from Porto on January transfer deadline day, it caught fans aback somewhat.

Yet given Diaz had been linked with a switch to Anfield for several months, it was completely unexpected.

It was more the timing for the Reds' swoop that was the surprise.

Jurgen Klopp hasn't traditionally conducted his business in the winter window. If Diaz was ever going to join, it was widely expected it would be in the summer.

Certainly, Liverpool are reaping the dividends of moving for Diaz sooner than expected. Neither party could have asked for a better start.

The news that did startle Kopites aplenty on deadline day, though, came shortly after Diaz was through the door.

Carvalho deal breaks down
It would surface that Klopp's side were working on a deal behind the scenes to recruit Fulham's Fabio Carvalho for around £8 million.

The attacking midfielder was in flying form for the Championship leaders. Out of contract at the Cottagers in the summer, Liverpool moved to steal a march on any other potential suitors.

Unfortunately, the deal would break down in the 11th hour. Carvalho remained a Fulham player, although Klopp confessed that it would be 'crazy' why the Reds wouldn't still look to tie up a deal.

But with Liverpool's failure to sign Carvalho as public as Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on the Oscars stage, clubs across Europe would undoubtedly have been alerted.

It was reported that the vultures started to circle after the window slammed shut. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund - able to sign pre-contract agreements with Carvalho - were said to be keen.

Manchester United and Chelsea have subsequently been linked.

In truth, it's hardly a surprise. The England under-21 international is one of the brightest prospects in the world.

Three key advantages
However, to fend off rivals and secure Carvalho's signature, Liverpool have three key advantages already in place.

When talks were ongoing about Carvalho potentially moving to Anfield in January, he was likely in communication with Harvey Elliott.

The pair played together at age-group level for Fulham and remain friends.

Certainly, Carvalho will be impressed by the eye-catching progress that Elliott has made since moving to Merseyside in 2019.

The 18-year-old is firmly part of Klopp's plans and he was rewarded with three successive Premier League starts before suffering a cruel ankle injury at Leeds in September.

But since returning from his setback, Elliott has featured in the Carabao Cup final defeat of Chelsea at Wembley and part of a Liverpool squad gunning for a historic quadruple.

Last season, Elliott recorded seven goals and 11 assists in 41 appearances on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Carvalho has already netted eight times and created a further six in 29 games for Fulham in the second tier.

It's a barometer that ultimately leads to the conclusion that Carvalho should have no trouble stepping up to the Premier League.

However, the teenager will know that improvements to his game will be a necessity.

Neco Williams has proved a revelation since his loan switch to Fulham did indeed go through on deadline day.

Firmly behind Trent Alexander-Arnold in the pecking order at Liverpool, the right-back moved to the Cottagers for regular game-time.

Williams has thrived at Craven Cottage. He's bagged two goals and two assists in nine matches to help Marco Silva's side hurtle back towards the top flight.

Indeed, the Wales international has thrived in the capital.

But the fact he's a bit-part player at the Reds underlines the marked step up required to be a first-team regular.

Still, Carvalho's likely discussed all facets of being a Liverpool player with Williams and tapped into his knowledge of the tweaks he might need to make.

That's something that Harry Wilson may also be able to help with.

It's easy to forget that the attacking midfielder came through the academy ranks at Anfield, having joined the club at under-nines level.

First-team opportunities were hard to come by for Wilson, though.

He totalled on two cup appearances and was shipped out on loan to Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County, Bournemouth and Cardiff City before he was sold to Fulham last summer. He earned the Reds a cool £12 million.

When reflecting on his lack of first-team chances at Liverpool, there might be things that Wilson perhaps may have done differently or areas of his game he couldn't quite reach the level of.

Regardless, Wilson's likely only got positive things to say, having spent almost 16 years at his boyhood club.

Given the paperwork was complete and medical passed, Carvalho may well still be steadfast he still wants to join Liverpool.

But if there was any temptation of his head being turned, there are three players in place to ensure it doesn't happen.

Away Day Guide – QPR

Another outing to a previously happy hunting ground for Fulham, but a tough test ahead as we look to edge three points closer to the target, whilst they are still attempting to make it into this seasons play-offs. Here's the guide for those of you with tickets.

TICKETING INFORMATION
Tickets for this fixture are now sold out.

GETTING TO THE KIYAN PRINCE FOUNDATION STADIUM
BY CAR
Exit the A40 as it becomes the A40(M), following the signs for White City/Shepherds Bush. Turn right into Wood Lane and right again into South Africa Road where the ground will appear into view. Please note that roadblocks may be in place well in advance of the local derby. Your best bet for parking near to the ground is in the nearby Westfields Shopping Centre.

BY TUBE
The closest tube stations are White City on the Central Line, about a five minute walk away, and Wood Lane on the Hammersmith and City Line, which is about seven minutes away. Shepherds Bush Market (Hammersmith and City Line) is about ten minutes away, whilst Shepherds Bush (Central Line) is closer to a fifteen minute walk.

AWAY PUBS
Fulham fans may find it more preferable to drink in more Fulham friendly locations before and after this fixture. Most of the pubs in the vicinity of the ground are home fans only and will deny access to Fulham fans. The notable exception in the past has been Belushi's (W12 Shopping Centre, 13-15 Shepherd's Bush Green, W12 8PH). Alcohol is usually available to visiting supporters inside the ground but please be aware that QPR have previously refused to sell alcohol to visiting fans during London derbies on police advice.

Lyndon Dykes update emerges ahead of QPR's upcoming showdown with Fulham

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has revealed that Queens Park Rangers forward Lyndon Dykes will be fit enough to play for his country in tomorrow's clash with Austria.

Dykes was called up by Clarke earlier this month despite the fact that he has not featured for the R's since their meeting with Millwall in February.

The forward has missed QPR's last six league games due to an issue with his hamstring.

In the absence of the forward, the R's have turned to Andre Gray for inspiration.

Despite the fact that the 30-year-old has stepped up to the mark by providing four direct goal contributions in his last five league appearances, QPR have still experienced a concerning dip in form.

Having suffered six defeats in their last nine league matches, the R's are now facing a battle to secure a top-six finish in the Championship.

Two points adrift of Blackburn Rovers who currently occupy the final spot in the play-offs, QPR will be looking to pick up a morale-boosting victory over Fulham this weekend.

Ahead of this fixture, an update has emerged regarding Dykes' fitness.

Asked in his pre-match press conference (as cited by Sky Sports) about whether Andy Robertson and Dykes will be available for Scotland's clash with Austria, Clarke said: "Yes, 100 percent, the boys are good."

Making reference to whether he had recently been in contact with QPR manager Mark Warburton regarding Dykes' current situation, Clarke added: "Not since pre-camp, we obviously discussed the issue before the camp and then we were guided by QPR, they allowed Lyndon to come up and join us and to watch the Poland game.

"He's done a couple of training sessions since and he's good to go."

The Verdict

Although it remains to be seen whether Dykes will feature for Scotland in tomorrow's game, QPR ought to be boosted by the news that he is seemingly making a great deal of progress in his road to recovery.

Warburton will need all of his attacking players to step up the mark in the absence of Chris Willock who is set to miss the remainder of the campaign due to a hamstring injury.

Having provided 10 direct goal contributions in 25 league appearances this season, Dykes ought to be confident in his ability to make a difference for QPR as he clearly knows exactly what it takes to succeed at this level.

If he emerges unscathed from international duty, it wouldn't be at all surprising to see Dykes named in QPR's side for their showdown with Fulham on Saturday.

"A real statement of intent" – Fulham set sights on Manchester United man: The verdict

This article is part of Football League World's 'The Verdict' series, which provides personal opinions from the FLW writers regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...

Fulham are considering a temporary move for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson in the summer, as per a report from The Sun.

The report states that the Cottagers' top target is Burnley shot-stopper Nick Pope, as they intend to sign a permanent option.

Fulham, who look on course to comfortably secure a return to England's top-flight, have seen Marek Rodak operate in-between the sticks for the majority of the campaign thus far, keeping 10 clean sheets in 25 league games thus far, conceding a mere 19 goals in the process.

Henderson has been unable to pave his towards regular first-team inclusion at Manchester United this season, as it remains to be seen what may be in store in regards to his immediate future.

Three of our writers here at FLW have shared their thoughts regarding Fulham's interest in Henderson...

Charlie Gregory

Dean Henderson, if he's available, would be a very good signing for Fulham.

The goalkeeper could arguably do a first-team job with Man United, so if the Cottagers were to land him it would be a real coup. He's been excellent in the past and there is no doubt he could compete in the Premier League if given the chance too.

Signing Henderson would most definitely add a bit of extra solidity at the back whether they get promoted or stay in the Championship. He'd also no doubt jump at the chance to actually play regular football again too.

The shot-stopper then should be snapped up by Fulham at all costs if he is available as he is arguably one of the best keepers not to be playing games in England right now.

Josh Cole

Whereas a host of Fulham's players have impressed this season, it could be argued that they may find it beneficial to strengthen their goalkeeping options in the upcoming transfer window.

Despite being handed opportunities to impress in this particular position in the Championship, there is no guarantee that Marek Rodak and Paulo Gazzaniga will be able to deliver the goods at the highest level in the 2022/23 campaign.

Keeping this in mind, signing Henderson from Manchester United is surely a no-brainer for Fulham as he illustrated during his second loan spell with Sheffield United that he is more than capable of producing assured displays in the top-flight.

By making a positive start to his time at Craven Cottage, Henderson could become the club's first-choice shot-stopper for the foreseeable future as he is still only 25-years-old.

Ned Holmes

This would be an absolute coup for Fulham.

We're talking about a goalkeeper that has been competing for a first team place with David De Gea at Manchester United so signing him would be a brilliant bit of business for a newly-promoted side.

It may be tough to prize him away from Old Trafford given there is likely to be a new manager at the helm but it's certainly worth a try for the Craven Cottage outfit.

Henderson helped Sheffield United secure survival in their first season after promotion to the Premier League and that is clearly going to to be Fulham's target next term.

Landing the England international would be a real statement of intent!

Trust view on the Riverside Stand.

Judging by the volume of messages the Trust has received over the last week, the recent announcement by the Club of season ticket prices and plans for the lower tier of the new Riverside Stand next season certainly created a depth of feeling. The stand looks very impressive and almost complete from pitch-side, although we are aware there remain significant fit-out works to be undertaken inside before full capacity can be allowed. We have now had confirmation that works have been delayed, and it will be only the lower-tier open for the beginning of the 22/23 season, making approximately 2,000 seats available in the new stand.

Ever since season ticket holders were relocated from the Riverside to the Putney End for the start of the 2019/20 season, we have been repeatedly asked to confirm with the Club that displaced supporters will have first priority to move back to the new stand when it is opened. The Club has continually confirmed Riversiders who maintained a season ticket in the intervening period will have priority. With the first opportunity to move into the new Riverside Stand now available, the Club has honoured that commitment for next season, but the plans have raised a number of questions and concerns.

Throughout all of our recent conversations, the Club has been very clear that this is a one season only exercise whilst there are only 2,000 lower-tier seats available, and that plans will be different once the stand opens completely in 2023/24. No choices made during this renewal period will impact priority next time, as long as a season ticket is maintained somewhere in the ground.

The Trust view
There is no doubt that the Riverside Stand is an impressive addition to our ground and, when fitted out and fully open, has the potential to be the "game changer" in terms of additional income streams and expanded capacity that owner Shahid Khan has proclaimed. The big picture is that with a capacity of just shy of 30,000 and facilities able to generate revenue every day of the week, there is no need – ever – for the threat of Fulham being removed from our historic home to rear its head again.

It was disappointing that despite the Trust having in previous years done a lot of work on ticketing and pricing, and we would argue with a good feel for what is tolerable and reasonable, there was no consultation on the prices announced for the lower tier ahead of time. While Fulham has said that the flat rate price of £1,000 for 19 games is for one season only, they should not be surprised that the response has been far from warm. If they had asked us, we would have been able to predict it pretty accurately. Perhaps that is why they didn't – perhaps they knew too, but wanted to test the market beyond our existing supporters regardless.

It was disappointing that despite the Trust having in previous years done a lot of work on ticketing and pricing, that there was no consultation on the prices announced for the lower tier ahead of time.
    Trust Chair, Tom Greatrex

Removing concessions for older fans throughout the stand, a flat-rate price and not announcing pricing elsewhere in the ground at the same time have unsurprisingly been the issues of concern. We struggle to understand how supporters can make an informed decision without knowing their pricing options. It would also assuage the concerns many have expressed to us that £1,000 for that limited number of seats might indicate significant price rises elsewhere. We know these points have been relayed to the decision-makers at Fulham, both in the UK and US, we don't know whether they will decide to act upon them.

As frustrating as all of this is, in some ways next season is not the predominant issue. It is when the stand fully opens. Whatever division we are in, Fulham will have a home capacity of around 26,000 to fill. There are not 26,000 Fulham fans who can afford north of £1,000 for a season ticket. Fulham have a good record on prices of season tickets – and especially for children – that has been maintained over many years. It is one of the factors that has helped our fanbase grow from the 5,000 or so average crowds 25 years ago, and encouraged more younger and local fans to come along. That is something which the Club should guard against losing – while on a matchday balance sheet there isn't much difference between a one-off attendee when we host Liverpool and a season ticket holder, over the medium term there is.

The Fulham fanbase is not stupid. We know that when the new stand is fully open the best seats will be the most expensive in the ground, and out of the reach of many. We know that getting revenue in from the facilities in the stand will positively impact on the financial fair play position of the Club. We know that the capital cost of an expensive and complex build has to be repaid. We know that the investment from the owner over several years has been generous and extensive. We also know that our fanbase come from all walks of life, young and old, wealthier and less so, and we are part of the same Fulham family we have heard a lot about this season. We know that getting the balance right on ticketing, pricing and filling the ground is as imperative to the success of the Club on and off the pitch.

We hope that the Club realise that too, and by taking into account the views, experiences and situations of supporters more fully they can make the right decisions. If they do, everybody wins.

Following the latest announcement, members of the Trust board have been in regular dialogue with the Club to present supporters' views, ask questions and try to understand the reasoning of what lies behind the plans. Here's a summary of the questions raised by Trust members and the answers we have received.

Price
The flat rate of £1,000 (adults) and £500 (under 18s) is more than most Riversiders have paid before. In fact, the only season ticket price above £1,000 in the Riverside before now was in blocks VL, WL and W in season 2018/19, and even then only for new purchasers once promotion had been confirmed via the play-offs. A 2018/19 renewal in those same centre blocks was £839 pre-promotion, with the lowest Riverside season ticket renewal priced at just £299 in the corner blocks SL and ZL. Whilst £1,000 isn't a huge jump four years on from £839, it certainly is for those who were paying £299, a price which was significantly cheaper than most of the Hammersmith End. So, it's not a surprise that we have received a lot of feedback from supporters who say they just can't afford £1,000 and that £500 for under 18s means that they won't be able to bring their families.

Across several meetings, the Club have told us that these prices have been set on a one-season basis only and reflect the very limited supply of seats. They recognise the price differentials mentioned above but feel that the prices are fair for one season. They have been clear that nobody has to move this season from the Putney End and that the priority for displaced Riversiders who have maintained a season ticket to move back to the fully opened stand in 2023/24 will be honoured regardless of seat choices made next season.

It remains the view of the Trust that season tickets and match tickets should be priced such that football is affordable and accessible for all those who wish to attend, albeit we accept certain parts of the ground will always be more expensive than others.

No young person or over 65 concessions
We received a lot of queries relating to the lack of concessions for young supporters (18-21) and over 65s in the new stand. This is a departure from the previous pricing policy in the Riverside, where concessions were available in all blocks, although it is noticeable that some other clubs have adopted this policy for their higher-priced tickets; Brighton, for example, offer no concessions in the highest-priced middle blocks of their main stand.

Again the Club have told us that, given the limited number of seats available in the Riverside Stand next season only, they consider the pricing model to be fair and are not open to making any changes. They reiterated that this is a one-season only model and expect concession pricing to be available as usual in other parts of the ground.

Information about the other three stands
The largest number of queries the Trust received following the Riverside announcement related to what was not said: there is no information yet about season ticket prices in the other three stands despite season tickets in the Riverside going on sale in April. We have highlighted that announcing the whole season ticket plan would have two big advantages for supporters.

Firstly, for those considering moving to the Riverside, it would allow a direct comparison to be made and inform decision making. We think this is a reasonable request. Secondly, announcing what we expect will be fairly priced 2022/23 season ticket prices in the rest of the ground will go a long way to allaying concerns that the £1,000 price in the Riverside stand heralds a big price rise across the board. We have always said that Fulham's season tickets are well priced and fair, and that the offer for under 18s has always been particularly family-friendly. We hope and expect this will continue.

We are disappointed that despite our requests, the Club have said that they want to wait until May to release the prices for the rest of the ground, as they want to wait until our League status for next season is confirmed. We will continue to press for the prices for next season to be released as soon as possible.

Facilities and opportunity to view in person
A number of supporters have said that if they are to consider paying an increased price for their season ticket next season, they would like confirmation of the facilities available and would like to see them in person before buying. The Club has been very clear on this point – the stand is still a building site and it is not possible for in-person visits to take place during this renewal period. Again, they have stressed that this is a one-off situation for this season as the stand is not complete and expect arrangements to be different during the 2023/24 renewal period where it is hoped there will be an opportunity for individuals to view in person.

With regard to views from seats, it is worth looking at the 3D virtual seat view tool the Club included in its announcement [LINK]. It does seem to provide a very accurate representation of the view from existing seats so should give a similarly accurate view from the new seats. Of course, nothing replaces seeing the seat in person, but the Club say that this is just not possible for safety reasons.

We have also asked what facilities will be available to season ticket holders, particularly given that these have yet to be built. The Club have only been able to confirm basic details at present, that there will be food and drink facilities both inside and outside the 'lower concourse'. They have confirmed that they expect the Riverside offering for next season will be similar if not better than what was on offer during the last season in the old stand.

Seat moves
We have been asked to confirm whether seat moves to other parts of the ground will be available for displaced Riversiders and, indeed, whether any Putney End season ticket holders will be asked to move for other reasons. The Club have told us that there is a possibility that some P4 season ticket holders may have to move to accommodate a slightly larger away section next season given the overall increase in capacity, but with some others moving to the Riverside there will be Putney End seats available. Subject to availability, the Club will also try to accommodate moves to other stands, although the Johnny Haynes Stand, in particular, is quite close to its season ticket capacity.

Next steps
Our advice for displaced supporters is that you don't have to make any decisions this year. This is a one season exercise and the situation will be different when there is a whole stand with complete facilities available in 2023/24. If you choose to stay in the Putney End and have maintained a season ticket since 2018/19 then your priority to return to the fully open new stand will be maintained and there will be a much wider choice at that time.

We will continue to press for a quick announcement of the prices in the rest of the ground which we hope and expect will show that Fulham season tickets remain affordable and accessible for all supporters. Over time, the revenues generated both on match days and non-match days by the new Riverside Stand should be able to keep Fulham affordable for all.

2 in, 2 out: 4 realistic Fulham transfer dealings we can see happening this summer

Fulham will be busy planning for the summer transfer window and will surely be plotting to build a squad ready for the Premier League.

The Cottagers look firmly on course for a return to the top flight already, and that will give them extra pulling power in terms of signing players.

Here, then, we're taking a look at two signings they could realisitically make, and two players that might end up leaving the club in the window as well...

In: Neco Williams
Williams has settled in well at Fulham on loan and could well want to remain with the club past the end of this season.

He's going to find it hard getting game-time at Liverpool for as long as Trent Alexander-Arnold is at the club, and so this summer he might think it's time to move on for good.

Surely, Fulham would be pleased to have him stay.

Out: Fabio Carvalho
Fabio Carvalho came very close to joining Liverpool in the January window and there is surely every chance that it will happen in the summer instead.

Liverpool seemed willing to revisit the transfer in the summer and there's no reason why they'd suddenly feel he is not good enough.

Carvalho's contract is running down and it appears very likely he is going to be moving on.

In: Nick Pope
According to The Sun, Fulham are interested in signing Nick Pope this summer from Burnley.

Fulham are looking good to return to the Premier League, and the Clarets could well drop into the Championship, which may pave the way for a move to happen.

Time will soon tell if this one has potential, then, as it could depend on which club is playing where.

Out: Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa
Anguissa is a player that Fulham have sought to use in the Premier League and he did well for them last time they were in the top flight, but it seems as though he has got his sights set on playing in Serie A for the longer term now.

He appears happy in Napoli and they appear happy with him so it's quite possible his Fulham career ends this summer.

Comment: 3 positions Fulham should look to bolster in the summer

Fulham's main focus will be trying to earn promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt this season.

And as it stands, Marco Silva's side are currently top of the Championship and nine points ahead of Bournemouth who do have a game in hand. Impressively they are 14 points ahead of third spot and will already have an eye on playing top flight football next season.

With that in mind, we take a look at three positions Fulham must look to bolster in the summer...

Left-back
Arguably having two of the best left-backs in the league in Antonee Robinson and Joe Bryan, some would say that they have disappointed this season and it could be an area that Silva wants to address in the summer.

Both Robinson and Bryan have had a shot at the Premier League before with the latter having two seasons in the top flight, but defensively they have disappointed. Robinson has not been at his best this season and has been at fault for a couple of goals, most recently Callum Robinson's winning goal for West Brom.

As for Bryan, he seems to be out of favour and has featured nine times in the league with just two appearances since the turn of the year. Despite being the play-off hero against Brentford in 2020, Silva might be keen to replace him next season.

Centre-back
Current centre backs at the club include Tim Ream, Michael Hector and Alfie Mawson, all of whom are out of contract in the summer

Ream has been an outstanding servant to the club, playing over 200 times, but at the age of 34 he is coming to the end of his career. Hector has been unlucky with his time at Fulham. He was outstanding in his first six months at the club but he has since then failed to live up to that potential and has become a fringe player.

As for Mawson, his time at Fulham has been forgetful. The 28-year-old is constantly injured and would not be risked in the Premier League. Silva would most likely want a couple of centre backs to help give Tosin Adarabioyo some healthy competition.

Attacking midfielder
This is one of Fulham's strongest positions this season, with the likes of Fabio Carvalho, Harry Wilson and Bobby Decordova-Reid able to play there.

Carvalho has been the main man in this role and has had an outstanding season with 13 goal contributions at just 19 years of age, but with his contract expiring in the summer a move to a top flight team is looking even more likely. Wilson can play in the middle but his ability to cut in from the right has been a useful asset and Decordova-Reid has featured there a handful of times.

An attacking midfielder should be a priority for Silva next season.

Fulham Supporters' Trust call on Fulham to rethink £1,000 season ticket price in new stand

The Fulham Supporters' Trust have urged Fulham to rethink their ticket pricing strategy for the new Riverside Stand after the club confirmed tickets there would cost a flat rate of £1,000 next season.

Fulham are due to open the lower tier of their new stand next season, with "more than 2,000" tickets being made available to former Riverside Stand season ticket holders who were relocated around Craven Cottage during the redevelopment.

However, the club have announced that those seeking to return to the stand in the lower tier will have to pay £1,000 for adults and £500 for under-18s, without any offer for concession age groups.

"It was disappointing that despite the Trust having in previous years done a lot of work on ticketing and pricing, and we would argue with a good feel for what is tolerable and reasonable, there was no consultation on the prices announced for the lower tier ahead of time," the Trust outlined on their website.

"While Fulham has said that the flat rate price of £1,000 for 19 games is for one season only, they should not be surprised that the response has been far from warm.

"If they had asked us, we would have been able to predict it pretty accurately. Perhaps that is why they didn't – perhaps they knew too, but wanted to test the market beyond our existing supporters regardless."

The new renewal fee is unprecedented for Fulham. Only once previously have they charged more than £1,000 for a season ticket, during the 2018-19 campaign, and that was only for new purchasers after promotion was confirmed. The renewal costs pre-promotion in 2018-19 ranged from £299 to £839, meaning an enormous jump for next year in some areas of the stand.

But particular concern has been raised about the lack of comparative pricing available for the rest of the ground, with the club due to release full season ticket prices in May.

"We struggle to understand how supporters can make an informed decision without knowing their pricing options," the Trust continued.

The Trust have been in dialogue with Fulham to raise their concerns in the past week.

"The pricing structure will put off many people who will have otherwise bought tickets in that lower tier," said Tom Greatrex, Chair of the Fulham Supporters' Trust.

"Our biggest concern is to ensure that if the club stick with that model, that tickets elsewhere in the ground are affordable.

"That's a big part of encouraging to grow and keep our fanbase. Not everyone associated with Fulham is wealthy, and not everyone can afford £1000 for a season ticket, particularly in the current climate."

The Trust are calling for two further changes to the pricing strategy.

"The first thing I would like to happen is that before the priority window opens (for season-ticket renewal in the new Riverside Stand), that the prices around the ground are announced," added Greatrex. "If you are in the Putney End at the moment, you don't know how much your ticket will be.

"If that means two pricing models, so be it. But I think it's unfair for people to be given a limited time period to move to that stand without knowing what the cost will be for elsewhere.

"Secondly, on concessions. Particularly on the outer blocks, we have asked the club to reconsider them that."

Fulham confirmed this month on their website that previous Riverside Stand season ticket holders would have priority for the new seats and should they choose not to renew, they will retain their priority status for when the stand fully opens in 2023-24.

They also added that there would be concession offers in the other three stands in the ground.

First 'Fulham For All' Meet

On Thursday 24th March board members Hayley Davinson and Sarah Keig attended the inaugural meeting of the "Fulham for All" working group. "Fulham for All" is the Clubs promise to champion Equality, Diversity and Inclusion always and in everything they do. Chaired by Fulham's EDI Co-ordinator Jamie Dapaah, the working group will be looking at engaging and consulting with supporters and members of the local community to develop this work and messaging.

During the main discussion Hayley and Sarah talked about the work that the Fulham Supporters Trust did in January with regards the women's forum and how the FST want to expand on this. They were provided with the contact details for representatives at Lady Imps (Lincoln City's Women Supporters Group) and Women of Watford as they run two successful women's groups. Representatives from the Board hope to meet with them in the next couple of weeks to discuss the creation of a Fulham Women's Supporter Group.

There was a brief discussion about a possible LGBT event expanding on the Rainbow Laces campaign. It would be a much more focused campaign and unlike Rainbow Laces it would look to run throughout the season rather than just one weekend. Comments were made about the huge impact that footballers have when they speak in support of the LGBT Community and wanting to replicate this at Fulham.

There was a general discussion about the increase in the current behaviour of supporters across the EFL and Premier League. The group discussed the need for education and how the Club could get this across to supporters. Hayley gave a really good example of when a supporter approached another supporter to explain how because of his actions it spoilt his enjoyment of the game, which had a bigger impact than just saying 'what the **** are you doing?'. Sarah talked about Bystander Training, which is an initiative from an organisation called Stand By Me UK who are part of Communities Inc a social enterprise that provides training around tackling inequalities faced by the most disadvantaged groups. Stand By Me UK empowers people to assist victims of bullying, harassment and hate through safe bystander interventions. They are already working with Liverpool and Nottingham Forest and Jamie is going to contact them to see how they might be able to partner with Fulham.

The next meeting is on Thursday 24th May at 6.30pm if anyone else is interested in attending please let us know.

"Would certainly represent an upgrade" – Fulham consider summer move for Burnley player: The verdict

This article is part of Football League World's 'The Verdict' series, which provides personal opinions from the FLW writers regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...

Fulham have set their sights on Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope, as per a report from The Sun.

The report states that the Clarets shot-stopper has emerged as a top target as the Cottagers edge closer to a top-flight return.

Prioritising a permanent option over a loan, Fulham are also considering a temporary move for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, however, it is the Burnley man that is currently preferred.

Pope has conceded 32 goals in 25 Premier League appearances this season, keeping seven clean sheets during that time.

Three of our writers here at FLW have shared their thoughts regarding Fulham's interest in the Burnley shot-stopper...

Adam Jones

Pope is an excellent shot-stopper and that is probably his best asset, something that may be needed if the Cottagers want to give themselves a real chance of Premier League next time around.

They would only be able to pull this move off if they were promoted this season – but should they spend £20m on him? That's a sizeable sum and officials at Craven Cottage will be having flashbacks to the summer of 2018 when they splashed the cash to no avail.

However, Pope is an established top-tier player and the west London outfit need as many players of his calibre as possible to remain in the top flight for the long term.

His kicking can be a weakness at times – and that may be a problem in terms of Marco Silva's style of play – but the England international makes up for that with how commanding he can be.

Declan Harte

Nick Pope has years of valuable Premier League experience playing with Burnley.

Pope's performances for Sean Dyche's side have been worthy enough of an England call-up over the years.

This hasn't been a vintage season for Pope, but he is still an exceptional shot-stopper and he surely still has plenty to give to the Premier League.

This would be a good addition to the Fulham side and would be a very sensible signing.

Simmey Hannifin-Donaldson

I think Nick Pope would be a good signing for most sides outside of the top six in the Premier League.

With that said, he would definitely be a good signing for Fulham if they could pull this off.

Marek Rodak has done fine for Fulham this season, but Pope, given his top-flight experience, would certainly represent an upgrade.

I wouldn't say the goalkeeping position is a priority if Fulham go up, but if Burnley get relegated and Pope is available at a decent price, it could be a smart acquisition.

Leeds: Victor Orta can replace Pablo Hernandez with Fabio Carvalho

It is not difficult to understand why Leeds United were heavily linked with a move for 19-year-old sensation Fabio Carvalho in the January transfer window.

Indeed, the £3.15m-rated attacking midfielder has been in breathtaking form over his 27 Championship appearances for Fulham this season, scoring seven goals, registering six assists and creating ten big chances for his teammates, as well as taking an average of two shots and making 1.9 key passes per game.

These returns have seen the teenager who Sky Sports analyst Nick Wright dubbed an "extraordinary talent" average an incredibly impressive SofaScore match rating of 7.01, ranking him as Marco Silva's ninth-best performer in the second tier of English football – playing a key role in the Cottagers' all but confirmed return to the Premier League.

And, although Victor Orta did spend £26m on support striker Rodrigo back in August 2020, in truth, between Tyler Roberts and the Spain international, Leeds have lacked a truly creative attacking midfielder ever since the departure of Pablo Hernandez.

While it is true that the 36-year-old was probably past his best in 2020/21, being used sparingly by Marcelo Bielsa, the playmaker was influential for the Whites over his 36 appearances in the club's Championship-winning campaign back in 2019/20.

Indeed, this season, the £270k-rated Spaniard scored nine goals, provided nine assists and created 13 big chances for his teammates, in addition to taking an average of 2.1 shots and making 2.3 passes per fixture.

These metrics saw the £19k-per-week midfielder who Phil Hay dubbed both a "demon" and "unreal" earn a quite remarkable seasonal SofaScore match rating of 7.35, not only ranking him as Leeds' best performer in the second tier but also as the third-best player in the division as a whole.

As such, while a deal for Carvalho – who looks set to become available on a free transfer this summer – may be a difficult move for Orta to pull off, with Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund all being linked with the 19-year-old, it would nevertheless appear essential for the sporting director to do all he can to land the Fulham sensation at the end of the season – as the Portugal U21 international could well prove to become the next Hernandez at Elland Road.

Napoli Looking To Secure Discount From Fulham For Midfielder

Napoli are hoping they will be able to negotiate a discount on Fulham's asking price for Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa to buy the player permanently.

Anguissa joined the Serie A club last summer on a season-long loan and as part of the deal Napoli have the option to buy the midfielder.

The Cameroonian has impressed for Napoli and has become a fan favourite at the club as they make a challenge for the Serie A title.

Napoli are happy with him and are willing to sign the player permanently after the season ends, but things are not straightforward.

The Napoli board are hoping that Fulham budge from their price and they are able to sign the midfielder for a discount, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.

Before sending him out on loan in the summer, the London club got Anguissa to sign a three-year contract with them.

It is claimed that Fulham are still not settled on the future of Anguissa and are contemplating calling him back to their ranks as they are favourites to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Anguissa has made 23 appearances for the Naples club this term, despite having injury troubles, and is keen to stay in Italy with the Serie A giants.
