We didn't listen to the songs but watched the voting for a laugh on Catch Up. It is still predictable that certain blocks of countries vote for each other - the Scandinavian block. Portugal/Spain, Serbia/Montenegro, and the fact that France were never going to give us 12 points!
I think that our support for the Ukraine war effort may have gained us some popularity .
The other thing which interested me was they way that the countries gave their results in ENGLISH but the French woman gave her full contribution in FRENCH.! Boy do they hate our language.
