Al Musrati Report

Almoatasembellah Ali Mohamed Musrati commonly known as Al Musrati a 26 year old Libyan midfielder playing his way at the 1st tier Portuguese side Braga. He is a decisive midfielder, an arguably one of the best CDM’s in the Portuguese top division.

He started his youth career at 17 years old playing for Al-lttihad Tripoli where he would pave his way at the club before catching the attention of Vitoria de Guimaraes on the recommendation of former player Romano Sion, who described him as a player with enormous potential.

He didn’t make his professional debut until 25th July 2019 where he would play against Jeunesse Esch starting in the midfield for their UEFA Europa League Qualifier.

He was let go by Vitoria de Guimaraes only to be snapped up by former Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal’s Braga who made him his number one signing after seeing Musrati’s potential during a loan spell at his previous club, Rio Ave. Later he would repay the manager quote by becoming one of the most creative and decorative midfielder in the league.

Al Musrati has the body type of muscular structure frame while standing at 6’4. He is a powerhouse with physical destroyer mentality. He can break up passing lanes and counter attacks. He is very comfortable on the ball with the occasional spectacular long balls (just imagine Wilson on the wing, cuts inside behind the defence, Al Musrati plays him in with the long ball. Gentlemen Jim is on his feet screaming, Fulham fans clapping and waving their scarfs in the air. Wilson one on one with the keeper and he scores a 94th winner against Chelsea.) Al Musrati is so confident on the ball that he has the technical ability to breeze players before making the perfect pass that can lead to an attack.

Not only does he have an imposing threatening body type that can help him win his battles, he can also bring aggression, something we need in the middle at Premier League level. You could say he is an upgraded version of Stefan Johansen’s famous shithousery.

While he is a natural defensive midfielder who will allow Harrison Reed to flourish further up the pitch (Only if he could score! My brother has a stupid bet then he wouldn’t score and if he does he has to buy his shirt.) He will certainly help out the defence whoever they may be come the opening day of the new season. While he may not contribute with goals he will certainly stop them and be a commander in both boxes.

The 66 year-old, famous for his role in France’s fabulous 1984 European Championship success, was appointed to a senior role at his club as a player in February 2021.
