This is absolutely disgraceful what is happening with football in this country, its all about high profile names and not peoples achievements. Who actually makes up the nomination list? How does a defender like van dyke get nominated when his team dominates most games giving him little to do. I actually think Son is the most underrated player in the Premier league and deserves to win the award this year yet he's not even nominated.

Son is an absolutely fantastic player, and if he was South American or Spanish/Portuguese everyone would be frothing at the mouth about how good he is. It's stupid, however I genuinely believe that because he's from a country with very little by way of footballing pedigree, he doesn't get the recognition he should be getting

Yeah he can feel pretty hard done by there. Of this list, he's had a better season than Ronaldo, probably better than Kane (remember the first few months?), and I'd say on a similar level to Mane and Salah. I do think Van Dijk is freakishly good though, completely transforms the way they play, and De Bruyne has carried City in the last few months

Son is a terrific player and has been one of my favorite players over the last 2-3 years.  Can't believe he wasn't at least considered for this recognition.

Excellent that the FA Cup and League Cup winners have produced half the nominations.  It is about time that these competitions received proper recognition. :dft012:

nothing on Levy, he does what he has to do. But i feel that other clubs just can't be asked when it comes to going after spurs top players
